What a great family. I almost cried watching Dr. LOIS EVANS memorial service. If only we had more black families like this in our country! More legacies like this!
We do have many black families like this, they just are well-known/famous.

I accidentally stumbled across Dr. Evans and her family today when I watched her husband's memorial sermon for her. I've spent the day watching various of this family's videos and can honestly say that I've been blessed by their acquaintance. Lois Evans your legacy is great! Rest in Heaven dear sister!💖

I am absolutely blessed and full of joy watching this segment. Thank you for your transparency. My husband and I have been recently released by the Lord into ministry and we have 9 children and 1 on the way. So we gleam from good soil as often as we can. God bless you all!!!

I have been thoroughly blessed by this watching in April 2020 when during the Covid-19 quarantine. A great demonstration of Family living for Jesus in their homes and outside their homes. Rest in Jesus's arms Dr. Lois Evans.
I became a member of OCBF from the first day I visited in 2005 because I knew I needed to grow spiritually and live for GOD. I'm so thankful to Dr. Evans & Dr. Lois Evans for being such a real model of how I'm supposed to act as a Christian, seeking HIM first living under HIS authority NOT THE WORLDS. My parents didn't live for Christ during our upbringing no disrespect to them it's just how they were living. My great grandmother took me to church, then I started going on my own and I knew even though my mom didn't want me to go to church, I knew I didn't belong to them I belong to GOD. As hard as my upbringing was I knew life should be better. I told my father one time The Sun doesn't set because of him, The Wind doesn't blow because of him, IT'S GOD that controls all, he looked at me and didn't say another word. So to my spiritual parents Thank you for stepping whether you knew it or not in assisting in teaching me how to stay true to my BEING. GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE ME NOR FORSAKE ME! XOXO to this BEAUTIFUL FAMILY!
I Thank God for the Pastor Tony Evans family, you all believe the Word of God! Says train up a child in the he should go and when they are old they will not depart from it!!! I grew up in a household that did not practice what the Bible says, the foster father attended church regularly and I would go to church with him to get away from the foster mother's spankings and yelling most of the time, I received Jesus at the age of 12 years old and I said this that I would serve the LORD until the day I die!!! later as I grew up I realized that there's no death to the believer Halleluia!!! Thank You Jesus!!!
God we need more God serving families like this.
God place a hedge of protection over each one and fill each with your spirit. Direct them to stand firm in their faith in YOU. Praise be to God!

Our Family is our highest calling, our ministry is our Life, whatever venue and wherever God has specifically placed us. As Dr. Evans shares… “just start where you are today.” Every person engages in their home, and outside the home with others vastly different from the other.
God’s created, gifted and wired us all distinctly different, and together with those unique qualities, mannerisms, thoughts, tones, words, activities and mindsets, and when undergirded by His perfect wisdom, our daily offerings God will use to meet the one, or those, God intended to receive.
Solid conversation about protecting the family. Priscilla sharing Zig Ziglar’s wise counsel for measures how to intentionally walk in integrity and remain absolutely vigilant in protecting the marriage relationship. Drs. Lois Evan’s advice… for His name sake, even how we or others dress, hugging another, time we spend with the opposite sex to include another as a protective mechanism, etc.
Dr. Evan’s encouraging to ask for help… accepting of counseling beforehand and during the marriage relationship, including all members of the family, as if unwillingness occurs in naturally causes disunity, and that’s problematic that can become the cause of difficulties in all matters of the family life.
We mustn’t be surprised how swiftly one mistake or misstep can become harmful and crippling to a marriage, and so we must always be on guard. As Lois beautifully shared… “we never want our lives to misrepresent Jesus and be sensitive to The Holy Spirit.”
With these common-sense approaches and practical steps in our daily encounters within our family, friendships, businesses and everyday activities others we can begin to see, meet, learn and grow ourselves on how best to serve and benefit others in the serendipitous moments of Life.
Ephesians 6 / J.B. Phillips New Testament
Children and parents: servants and masters
6 1-3 Children, the right thing for you to do is to obey your parents as those whom God has set over you. The first commandment to contain a promise was: ‘Honour your father and your mother, that it may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth’.
4 Fathers, don’t over-correct your children or make it difficult for them to obey the commandment. Bring them up with Christian teaching in Christian discipline.
5-8 Slaves, obey your human masters sincerely with a proper sense of respect and responsibility, as service rendered to Christ himself; not with the idea of currying favour with men, but as the servants of Christ conscientiously doing what you believe to be the will of God for you. You may be sure that God will reward a man for good work, irrespectively of whether the man be slave or free.
9 And as for you employers, be as conscientious and responsible towards those who serve you as you expect them to be towards you, neither misusing the power over others that has been put in your hands, nor forgetting that you are responsible yourselves to a heavenly employer who makes no distinction between master and man.
Be forewarned and forearmed in your spiritual conflict
10-18 In conclusion be strong-not in yourselves but in the Lord, in the power of his boundless resource. Put on God’s complete armour so that you can successfully resist all the devil’s methods of attack. For our fight is not against any physical enemy: it is against organisations and powers that are spiritual. We are up against the unseen power that controls this dark world, and spiritual agents from the very headquarters of evil. Therefore you must wear the whole armour of God that you may be able to resist evil in its day of power, and that even when you have fought to a standstill you may still stand your ground. Take your stand then with truth as your belt, righteousness your breastplate, the Gospel of peace firmly on your feet, salvation as your helmet and in your hand the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. Above all be sure you take faith as your shield, for it can quench every burning missile the enemy hurls at you. Pray at all times with every kind of spiritual prayer, keeping alert and persistent as you pray for all Christ’s men and women.
19-20 And pray for me, too, that I may be able to speak freely here to make known the secret of that Gospel for which I am, so to speak, an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may speak out about it as my plain and obvious duty.
21-22 Tychicus, beloved brother and faithful minister, will tell you personally what I am doing and how I am getting on. I am sending him to you bringing this letter for that purpose, so that you will know exactly how we are and may take fresh heart:
23 Peace be to all Christian brothers, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
24 Grace be with all those who sincerely love our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am soooo GRATEFUL to hear you all represent the KINGDOM so well! I loved to hear you talk about your parents living the SAME life in the home as they lived in the church, which is not something that many pastors'/preachers' children can say. As the daughter of a Pastor, I am most grateful for the STANDARD that my parents exuded at home, in our day-to-day lives, which was the same that was preached across the pulpit! This has made the greatest difference in my life! I have the same testimony related to talking to other pastors'/preachers' children and not being able to relate to the double lifestyle - thank God for parents that live by the WORD OF GOD!!!
I just miss my dear mentor. I don’t want to get emotional but I truly miss Dr Lois Evans she was such a great woman of God with so much wisdom and love for all who crossed her path. I will always cherish and appreciate everything she shared with pastor’s wives. 😭😭😭😭

Dear Lord, as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord! Bless me O Lord Father God, with a family like this one! The Evans give us so much hope that life serving as family, in Christ, is so great, fulfilling and impact! I pray that one day my children and great great grandchildren will have the benefit of having their great great grandparents (me and my husband) testify how they drew inspiration from this family. This is the model family of the world. I love this family. I am reminded of the message I heard from Dr. Lois Evans in the video when they did the Kingdom Building Series. She talked about leaving a legacy and how her grandmother and mother left a legacy for her. She has certainly left a great legacy for her family. I am more that impressed with this family.

I admire the love of God demonstrated here. This is such a blessing and so informative for all of us as believers. I lost my mother in April of 2019. I am watching this with mixed emotions. The tears are flowing, but God. I am praying for Dr. Tony Evans as he wrestles with losing his wife. Life is filled with swift transitions and we all have to rejoice through it all. So glad that death is just a transition. A separation period ~ Praying for Priscilla Shirer as she goes through a valley experience with her health. Hi Evans family!! I am personally blessed to watch you all talk about God, life and love. I came from a very dysfunctional family and my heart yearns for a family.like yours but I believe that I can start it with me... I am having difficulty with my marriage at this time but my heart desires that God will turn it around. I know it will happen because I resolve to live an intentional life so I can leave a legacy of faith and passion for Christ and his cause..even as a Mum and a wife..

I can’t believe I missed this video episode. Each of you blessed me so much. A lot of inspiration and insight. So many things I could have done differently. I trusted Christ for my salvation when I was 25 years of age, now I’m much older, but wish I had these kinds of authentic conversations as I was growing in Christ. Today, I’m no longer married and my son, now 39, has not made the best decisions mainly due to mental illness issues that came on when he was in his late twenties. However, listening to your great questions and responses reminded me that God saw and sees me and there can be restoration. I totally felt the love of God while watching and listening. I’ve always admired sister Evans from afar and so wished I could have known her personally. I miss her. Thank you God for her authenticity, life,ministry, and an amazing and beautiful legacy. ❤

Thank you Lois for sharing . Y'all have been a blessing to me in more ways than one. I have read & lead multiple bible studies by Priscilla. Same with Chrystal's books (She's still There & Kingdom Women). Didn't know about Anthony's gifts until American Idol, and his voice is the gift that keeps on giving. Jonathan kind of came out of the wood work for me a few years ago when I read or heard that you had four (4) children. And I have listened to your husbands spirit led sermons over the years. May God continue to keep you, and your family in Jesus precious name. Amen
