Man, I love this show. But Brian, quit saying “I did this or I did that” your crew did it, and give them the credit. I can’t stand when I hear you say, “I knocked it out of the park with this one” no man, you AND your crew did that.

When in doubt put a bracket on it. But my boat has a bracket. Don't worry, Armstrong makes a bracket that mounts on your old bracket. It's going to look great.
Now to wait for season 4...

How does that plate affect the fit of the boat on its trailer? It would seem in some cases that it could require a major adjustment or possibly a different trailer $$

I wonder if a hydraulic jack plate can do the same thing as an engine bracket.
Question for George and Marine Customs. Would you see an issue with washing the boat after a salt water trip with a 1600 psi electric pressure washer to get the salt off? Would that damage the gel coat or take off the wax? I would hold it approx 1foot away from the boat when washing. Would that be enough to get the salt off the boat and trailer? I don’t want to damage the boat. A friend says he does this after every trip with no issues and it saves a lot of time. Thx in advance.

No you won't I wash mine with a 3000 after every trip. The only thing to be careful of is any decals or stripes just hold it farther away and it'll be fine it's so much faster
Butthole Tickler great! So that’s all you use after a trip? That would be awesome for me and get me to use the boat more.
It's also worth noting don't forget to wash the trailer ( rollers/bunks, axels,springs etc. ) 1600 psi is pretty light I have a electric 1700 psi I use to wash cars as well no issues just use common sense maybe not use the most narrow tip and hold it close as possible. Common sense is everything.

Im noticing that y'all are painting these charter boats instead of gel-coating them. I know paint is easier to touch up and looks better than gel coat especially over time, but I would think that these charter boats get a lot of use and abuse and you would want to gel-coat them instead. Gel-coat is really thick so you can knock the dock and chip your gel-coat and not have any fiberglass damage, paint is paper thin so if you knock the dock with that you're likely to get a gouge out of the fiberglass. Just curious if you can explain why these heavy use boats are getting paint instead of gel-coat? I'm about to start my boat build from just a blank hull and no stringers so I'm trying to figure out if I want gel-coat or paint, the boat im building is a 1982 Dusky 256 and will be used as a charter boat for diving/fishing and will also be the boat that me and my wife run from florida to the bahamas. Love your show, keep them coming. Y'all have been great inspiration for my build.
Primer and paint will bond much better. Gel coat isn't designed for recoat applications, it can be done but you're asking for problems down the road as gel coat is somewhat porous and will allow moisture to get between the original surface and fresh gel coat causing it to flake and blister. That being said I rebuilt my friends transom and applied gel coat 4 years ago the boat lives in the water so far no problems. If you do go with gel coat use an additive called duratech clear high gloss, add that 1:1 with gel coat the stuff works really well and it will make your life easier.

I can tell there wasn’t many cool new content to make this the recap episode. I really wish this channel would do some how to videos for us DIY guys. Open up some more room with content and allow more time to film when new interesting rehaul projects come about.

The math for GPH at 4,000 rpms seems off, according to your numbers, you spent 10% of gas from your numbers at 2,800 rpms...
why do they never talk prices etc,,,would love to see some of the dollars spent numbers,,,,
I look forward to every episode. I wish they were longer considering the advertising in the middle. But this was the worst episode yet. I hope all the other "finalises" are better going forward.
