    Funerals are sad but something about a firefighter , police or military funeral seems more sadder in my opinion like part of city died too you know what I mean I've been one firefighter funeral back in Cincinnati 2016 Mr Daryl Gordon lodd fell down the elevator shaft at fire looking for people trapped heard the radio traffic man that was sad day

    Shouldn't all those firefighters and EMT's be working? Would like to know how many are there on the taxpayers' payroll. If it was on their own time, the street would be practically empty.

      Do some research- multiple jurisdictions VOLUNTARILY came to cover all of the city’s area, no taxpayers were left unattended or in harms way. Such a rude distasteful comment for someone who obviously doesn’t understand how brotherhood and first responders work. Ps 90% of the 10,000 were there on their own time- keep your ignorance to yourself

      I don't think that's a rude comment at all. In fact it's a perfectly reasonable question.

      @@robertwilliams5015 If they were worried About coverage they wouldn’t have made the comment about “street would be practically empty” if they weren’t getting paid. The news covered plenty stories showing how other jurisdictions covered the area so the city could morn their loss. The comment was not at all appropriate for the situation.

      @bella7291
      Do you live in the city? Suggesting that the ENTIRE city fire department is off shouldn't be a cause for concern for someone living in that city? The question is TOTALLY appropriate. My comment didn't speak to what that person's intent was but rather the question he posed. It's absolutely a cause for concern even if the city was completely covered there are other elements that exist that could be an issue. Things like other jurisdictions familiarity with the city, that's a big deal. The size and differences of their apparatus, the experience and knowledge of their Firefighters all those things matter.

      @@robertwilliams5015 that’s all logistics that we’re taken into consideration. All jurisdictions including the city except mutual aid help every day. Nothing that happened yesterday put anyone at greater harm, the only people who where harmed where the people who lost their lives trying to save the same citizens here who only want to complain instead show gratitude and compassion.
