There is an interesting play between moving out/on and moving in that marks the whole video. The initial shots show her entering a dining room in which there is a vase carrying newly cut-out flowers. It almost seems like she just moved in a new house. it is early in the day, and the sunlight creeps in when she opens the curtains almost saluting her. And then we soon realize that she is in fact packing her bag instead of upacking it. The fact that there is a wide shot when she is packing eclipses our view from the content of the suitcase. It feels private and it feels like there is more in that case than mere clothes. When she leaves at last with just one cardboard and a suitcase, it is late evening. In a way, it feels like moving out or moving on from love sometimes has the same taste as our first meeting with it. Perhaps, what she is trying to say is that we never move on. We just start again. Everything comes full circle. We leave with not much, but enough to start all over again.

This is the perfect goodbye song, as one can see when she briefly goes through the letters in the room and the lamp changes colours. As when one moves away from someone, one has to remove things one shared with them too, like letters, gifts, memories etc. In the beginning of the video there is the clear light of day but when she reads the letters, the light belongs to another time. Like she was transported to a different time and the letter belongs to an almost unreal era of her life. It is almost like reading of happier times when one does not even know that something might go wrong. She immediately drops it because she has to move on and leave it behind which we see by her dropping the letter almost instantaneously. She just takes her small non -problematic belongings reminscient of nothing and no one and goes outside but even when she's in the car, the light keeps calling out to her, like a memory that wants to be lived in again. She chooses to not blindly move on, nor leave it behind, but just for some time go somewhere else, perhaps where it is less painful.
This song is really touching, it makes me feel like something has ended up for me, in my case, friendships.

My Explanation of the video:
So, the video starts, with her entering a new home (heart) with a clean slate. She washes her hands, erasing the traces of her past, starting afresh. She enters a room with a vase carrying freshly cut flowers. Bright sunlight. Everything feels blissful. Kind of an early stage of a relationship, where you get to know more about your partner. Initially, it's always the good, happy parts. The parts that make you fall in love. The parts that make you believe.
The video then shifts to a shot of her walking up the stairs. To a more private area. A bedroom, maybe? She has an empty suitcase. A clean slate. It feels private, it feels like there is more than mere clothes. And then she starts packing it with things. Memories. It is like the stage in a relationship where you get really close to someone. You make memories. You take someone’s pain in your suitcase.
And then, we are treated with a shot of the girl in a room full of boxes. Stuff. Memories. She opens a diary and begins to read it. As she flips through the pages, her expressions slowly begin to change. The lights start to flicker. Getting darker and darker with each strobe. Until she reaches a page where she drops the diary instantaneously. A revelation? A Dark memory? Maybe. I guess it’s a reflection of how a relationship progresses, as you get to know more about the other person once the initial bonding phase is over and you expose your weakness to them. Your vulnerabilities. Your flaws. Boxes and boxes of memories. Traits. Habits. Scars. Vulnerabilities. You get to know a lot more about the other person. There are things that you like. Things that you don’t. And things that are hidden in a corner, far, far away that you’d never have expected. Things that shock you. Revelations. And, you decide to leave.
The last part of the video shows the girl leaving the house. But, not just with the box she came in with. Not a clean slate. She has a suitcase of memories to carry along. Contrary to the start of the video, it’s no longer sunny and blissful. It’s dark outside. The emotions have changed. She picks up her stuff and beings to leave, and as soon as she does, the light in the room starts to flicker again. The light keeps calling out to her, like a memory that wants to be lived in again. Desperate attempts to make things work, maybe? She wants to get in her car and leave. But she also wants to go inside and re-live the memories one more time. And then, tragically, the video ends with a shot of the dark ocean, and the girl walking towards it. And, she falls into the abyss.
Perhaps, we never move on. This is the perfect goodbye song. Nothing hurts more than when you're in love with someone who's bad for you but it's the fact that you're both crazy and that makes it comforting. But in the end, when these kinds of relationships end, all the good memories die and only the final bickering, insecurities, desperate attempts to make it right remain. And when you're done with that, you realise how powerful love is, and how heavy taking someone’s pain onto you is. It’s no longer an empty suitcase. It becomes too heavy to carry. Perhaps, we never move on.

I think that house is that woman's heart. The doors he closes are the doors of his heart. The notebook he opened is his memories. She realizes that she doesn't want to fix her broken heart and memories as she is about to leave the place where love died. Also this great song reminded me of these lines.
