The Pentecostal Assembly School organised English Elocution Competition for the students of IX and X .The theme for the competition was Shakespearean speeches, which added a touch of classical literature to the event
The participants showcased their eloquence and dramatic flair as they brought to life some of Shakespeare's most iconic characters through their speeches. From the tragic soliloquies of Hamlet to the powerful monologues of Macbeth, the participants displayed a remarkable understanding of Shakespearean language and characterization.
The competition was judged by a distinguished panel comprising Mrs. Shweta Kumar, PGT English, Mrs. Sony D. Singh, PGT Economics, and Miss Varsha Rani, PGT English. They assessed the participants' performances based on criteria such as clarity, modulation, and eloquence.fluency, expression, and overall performance. The judges were impressed by the passion and commitment shown by each participant in interpreting their chosen character and capturing the essence of Shakespeare's timeless work.
Principal Dr. Karuna Prasad not only commended the participants for their exemplary endeavors but also lauded their selection of Shakespearean speeches, delivered with remarkable finesse. She further added that the talent and creativity demonstrated by the participants are remarkable .
Overall, the event was a resounding success, thanks to the dedication of the participant and the support of the audience. It was a celebration of language, literature, and the enduring legacy of Shakespeare's characters and speeches.
