This watch is mainly for android smartphones but will work with apple phones,
The seller quotes on their description,

Way better than the dzo9 the da1 looks better feels heavier but does what the dz09 did and more

Hi,
The GT08 is around the same price as this watch,
I feel the GT08 is a better strap, it is more comfortable for me,
But some may not like it as it may pop off if you catch it on someting,
The button on the GT08 is in the middle on the right side,
all the other port are on the other side,
If you wear the GT08 on your left wrist the other ports are further away from a water source,
The A1 is trying to look like the Apple watch so the ports are on the other side closer to splashing water,
I would advise to take of the watches when washing your hands as they are not water proof, they are not really splash proof,
The A1's button doesn't seem very strong it wobbles a bit,
But that is the only way to turn on the watch if it fails you can't switch it on,
The software on the GT08 seems to have been setup better,
I have had a friend test the GT08 and it has lasted for 6 months without any problems,
The GT08 just feels a better watch for the same money as the A1 or the DZ09,
The DZ09's strap failed within 3 months of purchase, both of them failed within a week of each other,

Have you looked at the Q18 video, i think that is the best fitting to your wrist,
Most comfortable strap, front facing speaker and biggest battery,
That would be my suggestion, it seems to have had most of the issues that plagued other smart watches like the GT08's strap breaking within 3 months.
Gt08 strap is so-so the way it latches
So I don't use android devices. Will this work well with iOS cause my mum is considering buying me one and I'm not going to shell out money for a new phone that I can't use. And I don't mean the watch itself as a phone, I mean I'm not gonna buy an android device just to use a watch
Only basic functions are available with ios,
Really these watches are very niche,
Good in a job where you are not allowed to look at your phone,
But it only saves seconds by looking at it instead of pulling out your phone.

The watch has a option to access your contacts on your phone i guess that is done by bluetooth,
You can also manually type a number,
Text messaging is difficult on this watch, the buttons are to small,
You could only do it with a touch stylus.

Maybe there is a bad batch out there,
The touch screen does come with a thick screen protector on the GT08 when i took it off it became more responsive,
so i use it without a screen protector,
The A1 button is not very solidly mounted into the watch i mean it wobbles the GT08 button is a little stronger and in the middle of the watch,
I prefer the GT08 to the A1 and the DZ09.

Hi, I have a small diameter wrist, but the GT08 fits with 2 holes left,
The A1 fits my wrist with 4 holes left and the you need to feed the extra strap through the hole in the strap,
My wrist diameter is about 18cm around,

Just in case the one you choose is a different size strap from the ones i have,
As sometimes sellers can have different firmware, software, or strap design,
The white one is now £9.56,
The white strap will get dirty though like the DZ09 after use,

i think you have to completely take the watch apart to get to the screws,
it isn't quick release like apple,
i couldn't tell you if it is even a similar design to an apple band.

I have just checked my watch and you can't select 12 hours, it is set automatically to 24 hours,
The analog clock on the first screen is in 12 hours,

I think the Q18 and the GT08 watches are better than the A1,
The GT08 is almost identical to the A1 but it is made better with a different more comfortable strap,

What i have found out so far is you need a sim and a data package,
But you need a code to tell the sim it is in a smart watch,
But even then it only gives you a basic search function inside the app and not full access as the watch has limited processing power.
Would this better for a smaller wrist than the DZ09 or GT08?

it also goes inside the other side to make the diameter even smaller,
The fitting design of this is not great though,
It is to flexible and fiddly.

Liam Kelly the DZ09 is the biggest and bulkiest watch,
The GT08 and the A1 are very similar size, and much more comfortable, than the DZ09,
Go for one with a downward facing strap as this is designed to fit your wrist better,
The GT08 has that type of strap, i forget i am wearing the GT08 minutes after putting it on,
You know you are wearing the DZ09 all the time,
I like the GT08 it runs the best version of the nucleus operating system.

The GT08 is a better watch, ask the sellers of both which is the one that adjusts to the smallest diameter.
You can not open Whatsapp without a SIM, but do you get a notification on the watch which is connect to your phone ? I am looking for a smartwatch and compare one with another.

Some apps bump a whole message or just a notification,
And then you have to go into your phone to check the message,
The best app i have used is called mediatek smart device.

Apps cannot be added and removed,
This watch is a vey basic entry level watch, you need full android on the watch to get full functionality, you need to spend around £50 to get a watch with android,
Even then it won't have enough memory or a fast enough processor as android is memory & processor hungry,

I can't get my Silent Mode to work. It still rings when my phone rings. I want my my A1 to be on vibrate at all times. Anyone experiencing this problem?
Tamie Liptak hi, maybe yours is faulty, i can turn off all sounds in profiles by selecting silent mode option.
Just seeing this but I have one and you have to go to profiles and activate one of the profiles, I choose meeting and choose vibrate only and you have to "Activate it " not just Save it.

Yes. I did both with the DZ09. I connected bluetooth headphones to this A1 watch as well. I'm using raycon e50.
How should I start this? First off once you hold it in your hands it looks nothing like apple I now A1 & Apple 38mm. If you have an apple there are NO APPS. for this watch. The BT apps do not work for apple. If you use this with an apple the digital clock will only have 24hr. time,the clock has to be set manually, mine looses about 1 min. a day.The speaker is loud, screen looks great. Android users this could be a good first smart watch to see if you want a higher priced smart watch. Though even at the 12.99 and free shipping I paid I suggest you pic a different less than $20.00 watch. This thing is just so bad. Even if you have large arms this thing is huge!

I think they are worth £10 but apple watches are not worth £300,
They don't hide the fact that there whole business model is based on extorting as much money as possible out of there customers,
And they want you to come back every year and do it with the next model,

It shows what is possible it won't be the same as apple as they spend around £50 on components so the apple watch will always be better you can't really compare the 2 like for like,
Maybe use this to decide whether you need an apple watch as it is as cheap as you can get for a functioning smart watch and this one also has a camera not a great one but it still has a camera,
As well as a stand alone phone, everyone i have showed it to has said it is well worth £10, what can you get for £10,
I think they are aimed at countries with not a lot of disposable income or even kids can get it with some pocket money.

There aren't any apps just what it comes with it isn't running Android,

No they need a sim with a data account which you will need to setup first,
You should get all notification pushed from your phone to the watch,
It uses bluetooth no sim needed,
Then just reply on your phone.

David Barišić the GT88 is £35, it is a slightly better design than the GT08 which is it's lower cost sibling, around £10,
The GT88 has a camera on the side button, it has a heart rate monitor, it only has a 300mah battery,
for example the Q18 has a 500 mah battery, and that is around £11,
300 mah is smaller than the GT08 battery,
it has NFC but doesn't have android, so i don't know if it supports android pay,
i think the operating system is called nucleus,
the GT88 is a bit more water resistant, and has a magnetic charging cable that sticks on the back of the watch,
I would look at the GT08 and save yourself some money.

The only way would be to re flash the firmware,
So you need a safe source for the firmware and know the difference between them,
I wouldn't risk it as you may brick the watch and then it won't work at all,
Really the factory decides what firmware they put on the watch and you are stuck with what they do.

Hi, it doesn't have GPS,
It does have a feature Anti-Lost which is supposed to alert your phone when the watch goes beyond a certain distance,
And it should work the other way as well,
But when i tested it on the DZ09 it didn't work for me,
I think it works with bluetooth so it would need looking into it why didn't work,
The operating system on the DZ09 is very similar to this watches operating system,

You can but you have to take the whole watch apart as they are normally screwed to the front of the watch.

i prefer a watch called the Q18 it is the same price but is made better,

How to download games in it
i haven't put any games on these watches,
just remember it is only a very basic watch, so it will be very laggy and almost unplayable,
so it will only work with the most basic games,
and you will need to use a SD card to store it on as there is no internal memory,
search you tube for DZ09 games.

You Know Who It Is No it is splash proof,
either cover it with you sleeve or take it off when washing your hands,
it will stop working if immersed in water.

No i have not seen that on any cheap smart watch,
It is possible on a more expensive watch that runs the android operating system,
The price of these watches starts at about £40 i think,
They have to have a lot more memory and faster processing just to run the operating system.

These watches just have the very basic functions, everything is cut down to the bare minimum.
I got this watch. Its good for the price. There is a site, Watchfaceup.com that allows you to download new watch faces for 'the cheap Chinese' watches, i've downloaded faces to the Mediatek app but they wont push to my watch. Maybe i'm doing something wrong maybe you'll have better luck.

The largest battery is 380 mah, be careful some are a lot less than this, I have seen a 130 mah battery in 1 of these watches, that won't last as long as the 380 mah one,
I get about 2 to 3 days when i get about 5 messages per day,
It just depends how many times you look at the screen as that is what burns the battery down,

You have to take the watch completely apart to get to the screws,
And good luck if it still works after you put it back together.

It won't allow you to zoom,
if it does it will be juddery and low quality,
All the watches i review are the same inside,
With only slight differences,
The outsides look different but the operating system inside is the same,

But since then i have done another video on the Q18 which is better than the DZ09,
Or the maybe look at the GT zero 8, which looks similar to the A1 watch in this video,
The problem with the DZ09 is the strap broke in 3 months,
The Q18 watch looks like the DZ09 but has a better more flexible strap with a bigger battery.

Mine just won't turn on
I found with some of the watches the battery contacts didn't reach the watch contacts,
Try this first,
Press and hold the on button,
Put it on charge and leave it for 10 minutes and then press and hold the on button,
Then lastly take off the back cover and press the battery in against the contacts and press and hold the start button,
If that works you need to cut a small piece of card the same size as the battery and put it on top of the battery and put the back cover on to hold it in place,
Hopefully one of those helps you.

This watch did not come with a screen protector,
The other 2 watches did come with a screen protector but they effect how well the touchscreen works,
As soon as i removed the screen protector it worked much better,
I can't find any on ebay for the A1 or GT08,
But there are some for the DZ09 they are 99p for 5,
Ask the seller the size of them before you buy just in case they are a different size,
Search on ebay for,
dz09 watch screen
And click cheapest + P&P first,
They will probably take 2 to 4 weeks to arrive from China.

Make sure the battery is contacting the watch properly,
Check by taking off the back and pushing the battery into the watch,
I had a DZ09 that needed a small square of card on top of the battery to push the battery harder into the contacts.

Does it holds 4g sim
It probably can hold a 4G sim but,
Most of these watches are 2G and a few might be 3G,
But 4G is on watches up and above £60 and they need to run Android,
These watches don't run android they run a cut down version called Nucleus,
Using data will be difficult on these basic watches they are only really useful for tethering to the smart phone for notifications and maybe voice calls with a stand alone sim inside the watch.
