I thought maybe you had spent too much time in the sun without a hat on when you bought it, I look at something like that and all I isee us the bazillion things that could go bad when it's left parked under a gum tree. You are experimenting for me have been thinking about one of those to grow some Milo for silage the only people that use these in our area is to disperse manure water for dairy’s 👍☘️
Looking at the way the pipe is rolled up on the reel I would suggest when you can pull the hose right out and check that the guide is lined up with where the pipe needs to be to keep the roll tight against itself, you can adjust it by taking the chain that drives the feed screw off and rotate the feed screw to line the guide up and then put the chain back on. The coil should be a lot tighter and neater than it is, that will stop it getting tangled
Looks like the Weber bbq will be in the Ute for sowing time with doing AirSeeder hose now ! We have been watering since 16th August, crop is struggling waiting for water now. First watered is miles ahead

Looks to be a four inch reel. If you can try and run a six inch main from the pump to avoid
to much pressure drop. If its available. great videos

Heat gun works pretty well on getting those type of pipes soft.
Smaller pipe they work well, this bigger stuff it takes too long to get the heat into it.
