      For sure man, glad you like it. It wasn't actually my idea though, I think I linked to a video that I got the idea from.

    Nice. Never seen them done with the beads before. Just melt, resin , color with a marker & re-resin. Both ways work & thanks for putting the vid up. You live near the coast? Just asking because I see those Olive over White Clousers sitting on your desk. That is a great color combo for stripers here in the N.E. in the Fall. Tight lines.

    Really good beginner video. Don't forget to move the cup before you hit with the light. One day I kicked off a cup full. LOL.

    Elongated shrimp aka crab eyes aka frog eyes if you add a horizontal line beneath the eyes it's becomes a Jap pi sign facing down

    Awesome tip! Is the UV resin necessary for the bead to stay on? A bit on a budget so haven’t invested in UV stuff yet. Thanks!

    • @McFlyAngler
      @McFlyAngler  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. Yes it is, you could try 5 minute epoxy also. not sure if that will work as well or not though. Glad to help!

      Hobby Lobby has their jewelry making 50% off. Four ounces of UV resin and a light for less than $20.

    Hey Buddy, I read your other posting. You never told us what the seller name you are using on eBay. Nice eyes, I have burned mono and resined it before, never thought about the beads though. Great idea. . All the best, Sean

    • @McFlyAngler
      @McFlyAngler  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I linked to my eBay I thought. Either way the seller handle I use is escapingdailygrind

    • @McFlyAngler
      @McFlyAngler  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      By the way, it’s actually not my idea for the eyes. I wish I could say it was, but others have done it before. I just wanted to show everyone Incase some of you hadn’t seen it before.
      How is your wife Sean? I still keep you and your family in my prayers.

    What kind of beads are you using? No need for nail polish just use acrylic paint?

    • @McFlyAngler
      @McFlyAngler  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, I was using very small beads made for fly tying but any tiny glass bead should work. As for paint, try it I guess. Nail polish is cheap though.

      These eyes are easy, tie them in. Go look up presidential shrimp, as I use these exact eyes.

    I see demos where the presenter cuts many pieces of mono same length by measuring 1 cut piece against tag end from spool. Why not make 5 or 8 loops around 1 or 2 fingers, then cut with scissors across all windings. Bam you're done.

    • @McFlyAngler

    • @patcoyable

      No sir, not in this video. Also, this is frigg'n brilliant. I should have said that before. I've literally been sitting here with my 4 yo for about an hour making these eyes which is remarkable because he has trouble concentrating sometimes. Its possibly your calm voice. Anyway, I know this isn't your idea, but thanks for the vids anyway
