Nightcrawler had that painted light effect from the pink-purple bampf cloud and it looks amazing there too. As for the light feature, yours is the first one I've seen with that yellow section. It's almost as if they used the wrong lightbulbs up top (yellow vs. white).
Chris I think that’s a fault, I’ve seen at least 3 different reviews of this statue and the color of the light is the same throughout the entire bolt, I don’t think it’s supposed to go into yellow at the end.
Yea that’s light reflection, my Prime1 Skull Knight has that too, the bottoms of his legs, the bottom of his shield & sword are all painted a kind of orange colour because of the light up candles in the base, it’s to give the effect of the armor reflecting light from the candles.
Find it odd that your bolt is yellow (with light on) at the top and transitions into the white/blue. Mine is a solid white/blue all the way through. Looks great either way!
Mine has some yellowing too, not very bright and even a bit of the filament is visible with light on. Its in the sideshow pictures as well. However I believe that it's meant to be solid bright white light.
I had to return the original due to a small break on the bolt, - the lighting on the first one I received was all pure white, but the replacement had the color transition (yellowish at top, blending into white at bottom half) - so not sure if the color transition was introduced a little bit later in production? I love it though it gives a much more interesting look when turned on. Killer piece !

I'm curious what Sideshow answer was to the yellowing. I told them I didn't like it and got a replacement . Glad I did, 2nd one is more baby blue lighting look. I believe it was a quality control issue, but honestly it looked and felt like someone pissed on the lighting bolt. I wasn't happy with the 1st one, but definitely glad I ordered it. I have some slight paint imperfections on the lightening bolt and the lightening is all white when lit up no yellowing whats so ever its a awesome statue
oh! I've been waiting! The expression, the damage of the scratches, and the details of the boots and gloves are the best. The luminous gimmick is also great. I'm happy to see the real thing. This is worth collecting!

I remember sitting in a university library in the UK on a rainy day and reading the entire graphic novel. It's one of the things that reintroduced me to comics as an adult after dropping them in my early teens. I love this piece. I'm putting a pre-order in now. It will go great in my Bat Cave.
This was great, I was going to get him, but then saw the lightning turn yellow. Now sideshows posting shows the light up feature really yellow. This doesn’t look as great when the light was pure blue/white. Did yours get fixed Chris??
I saw your live stream tonight where you mentioned it turning yellow, so I came to this video to see what you were talking about. I am getting my man cave built so I have this statue in the box. I have not opened it yet, now I'm thinking I should so I can check to see if it is yellow.
I got mine a couple of months ago as I ordered it last year. It is AWESOME! The only flaw, on yours too is the hand fingers are pointing up instead of flat.
I'm sorry but this blows away Prime 1. Not only is this capturing one of the most iconic and dynamic moments in comic book history, it's not some boring museum pose where batman just stands there. Also, it has light up. Also, it's value in absurdly high. It costs so much less than a Prime 1 and it's a gigantic one at that. Statue of the year.
Completely a masterpiece! A piece of art indeed! Not a fan of Frank Miller artstyle, but this is such a statement piece, attention to detail here is phenomenal.
Been on the fence because I collect Marvel but this is the one DC statue I would want. Just it’s own spot in the cave. My waitlist just converted. Might have to dive in.
This is one of my favourite looking Batman statue ever, only one that compares with it is the 1/6 Batman from Tsume. The pose is perfect, the paint & sculpt is perfect, I love the scrapes with the blood look great, the base and light up are incredible, and then the cost is just amazing. There is absolutely nothing that I would change on this, Sideshow absolutely knocked it out of the park with this.

I think this is just my favorite 1:4 scale Batman now, period. It works as now than just a dark knight.

So did Sideshow say that yellow variation on the bolt is supposed to be like that? Or are you getting a replacement bolt?

I don't think that's a flaw. I think it's intentional. Fingers can slightly point up when being flexed hard.
