I don't know why everyone plays that G pattern, for this song.... Try playing the G as a barchord on the 3rd fret (355433), then transitioning to the Cm is just down a string (335543).
Personal preference I guess plus some people don't like bar chords so I try to keep them to a minimum. Thanks for watching 👍
