- In this video I tackle the frame horns that most leave untouched for some reason, I go into detail how to make them stronger and look nice 👍
Here is the website I bought the cage nuts from,
panhandleautof...
Great prices, many hard to find clips, also the bumper nuts I welded in are 9/16th
Awesome work bro 💪
Frame is looking good
Thank you 🙏 more to come 👍
I like
Cool video 💪🏾💪🏾
🤝👍
You sure are a better welder than GM had 🙂
After the molding it really Show Cases you skill on this work.
Clamping the steel to the frame to trace the piece is a neat little trick.
When someone ran out of gas on the Weekend they always showed up at my house........they always refilled the tank so you had to remember that.
You sure are getting a lot done in the Backyard.
The factory weld on this thing are crazy, slag everywhere 😆
I have two tanks and just been slacking on getting them filled, getting both filled tomorrow, that should last me till about mid January, backyard hacks at its finest, im sure my neighbors love me after all that grinding 🤩 better get them a Christmas card 🎄
When I moved here 44 years ago I always heard a lot of banging and grinding all the time.
One day my Wife picked up a Women on the way home because her car was dead.
Turned out it the Neighbor making all the noise.
We fixed the car and got into all kinds of crazy things after that.
He only had a Daughter so my Son was also his Son.
He had a Bridgeport, lathe and all kinds of welders
So the best thing for you is to see if you can fix anything for them and you will be "Golden"
Wow you sure know how to lay a bead down, those lines are beautiful!
Thank you sir 👍

What's your source for caged nuts?
@@stizolac Link should be in the description, let me check

@RedRocket64 thanks bro. I need to install my floor, front passenger braces. They were missing when I bought the car. I'm considering boxing my horns now, too. It's a good look, looks more finished. Thank you for the link☝️.
😀✌️👍
💪🏾💪🏾🔥💯
👍
Nice work. Do you think the frame horn work contributes to strength, or did you do it more for continuity and aesthetics?
Just aesthetic 👍
@RedRocket64 Looks great, again, not a lowrider guy but can respect the work and time that gets put into one. Have you seen the video of the guy making side rails for an X-frame with extra body mounts?
Did you get the steel plates precut for the frame? If so, how much and what company did you get the steel from?
On the video you say 7/16 but on the link you say 9/16 and the site doesn’t have 9/16 can you please clarify thanks
7/16-14 cage nut.
I know you did this on the 64 as well but did you have any issues with panel alignment due to the extra metal on the frame for the radiator support
No sir, no issues at all, the core support uses a rubber and metal shims so you can add or remove shims as you align.
Just curious what gauge of steel you used?
1/8” 👍
Thanks bro, bad azz build.
@@martinvalenzuela1040 thank you 👍
