NZ RainWatch: Not much coming next 7 days

High pressure is the main feature driving NZ’s weather for the next 10 days but low pressure is trying to move in from the north east… and also a few (very weak) cold fronts will come into the lower South Island.
However the next 7 days have low rainfall due to so much high pressure - just a few showers are in the mix.
We give you the forecast for the next 7 days ahead…

Thanks Phil. I am curious as to why weather company put Wairoa along with major cities. Does wairoa have any special place in NZ’s geography? Thanks

It's more because it's in a unique position for the weather - but often the maps we have just generate random place names that we can't control to give an even spread. If I had my way it would be lots of small towns or suburbs that changed daily :)
