NZ - Low pressure back on the Tasman Sea menu

- A high that has influenced NZ’s weather for half a month is today over the top of us - by Wednesday in comes low pressure. The low isn’t overly energetic but should produce some rain for the North Island and will brush the upper South Island. We explain how this set-up works and why it’s a bit hit and miss.
Milder weather also spreads across many parts of NZ this week as the southerly eases for most, although cold air still flirts with the lower South Island.
This coming weekend another low from the Tasman Sea may be approaching NZ.
We have your forecast across this week and coming weekend. - บันเทิง
Great stuff, love the weather updates..
Thanks Phil and team. Great to hear you on RCR radio
Thanks very much :)
I am very appreciative of your contributions to making weather forecasts easy to understand, I often have trouble with things like this but since I subscribed to the channel I've been able to learn and understand weather better than I ever knew.
Thank you!
How generous!
Hi there, thank you very much for the extra support - it's very much appreciated by us and definitely helps! Thanks for the kind words too - all we want to do is bring your local forecast to life so people have fewer nasty surprises. Thank you again, Phil and Shaun (our engineer).

Hi Phil, a couple of good frosts over the weekend.. beautiful days though 😊. Definitely warmer this morning, need the coming rain ☔❤
Great explanation for those of us who aren't meteorologists
Thank you :)

Nice1 mate All the Best...

Enjoying the warm temperatures in Auckland this week
La nina pattern, low systems forming ofF NSW coast
Sort of. There's overlap between a normal chaotic neutral autumn and a La Nina starting...and there's a long way to go yet
🌦
Next update 14/5/24
When will Tasmania get any meaningful rain? I'm a dairy farmer on the nw coast and will go broke if we don't see any.
Really sorry to hear that. I grew up in dairy country and know all too well how stressful these moments are. We're only seeing about 5 to 10mm or so over the next week, but some longer range models pick 10 to 25mm over the next 15 days. These highs are certainly problematic - we're tracking rainmakers in every video we make now (for NZ and Australia due to the ongoing dry/drought conditions). All the best, Phil.
Sick of these highs...bring us some rain in CHB
where did Invercargill go?
Why do you need to see the place name? We only show a representation of coastal and inland temperatures - you don't need to see all the place names. Our local forecast has all the local detail you need - the videos are big picture.
@@WeatherWatchTV still tho lol
Bring back the bolt!!!!
