Hi Love! In this week's video, I'm testing out the K18 Leave-In Hair Mask to see if it actually helps to repair my damaged hair. I've seen it online quite a bit and was curious to see if it actually worked, so, I bought it myself to try. Stick around through the entire video to make sure you get the full review!
You have to keep rubbing it into your hands until it foams and becomes white. Then 1 pump will be more than enough. I’ve been using it for 3 months and still on my first bottle. It really has helped with my heat damage
Ahhhh okay! I was wondering why it wasn't as thick as those I've seen use it before. Good to know, I'll be sure to do that for the next use. Thank you!
Yeah, I'm at the 1 year mark and just finishing my first bottle. Have had the second on standby for about 6 months now, thinking it would only last 8 washes. Nope, more like 16. I use 4-5 pumps per wash day for my entire head, and I have dense hair.
Hi! So I am on my 3rd week of using this product. I am transitioning without doing the big chop (it’s been interesting!) I have high porosity hair and my hair is quite dry, due to transitioning. I now have less shedding. That said, my hair can be dry after using the product so after waiting 4 minutes I put a leave in hydration conditioner in my hair and do twists, putting all twists in high bun. I would love to see you use this product each week to see how you navigate through… you might need to use a leave in conditioner before your gel in order to maintain hydration. K18 is a great product for damaged hair but it does have a bit of alcohol in it, so be careful. That said, I would recommend using it. I was so happy it seemed to work for you. I want to see more weekly. I think your hair will bounce back nicely. It is helping me transition.
Thank you SO much for the feedback! I'm happy to hear that you've been using it as well and are enjoying the results so far. I'll definitely make note of the alcohol content. So far it hasn't felt dry, but I'll monitor it and see if I should had a moisturizing leave-in. I appreciate this! Good luck with your transition!!
I do a deep conditioner after the 4 minutes. Basically I do my entire normal routine, just add a step between shampoo and DC to apply this and let it sit for 4 minutes from the time I'm done with the last section. It has worked wonders for my hair.
Okay so you said a little statement in your video 🤣🤣🤣. I knew you were Jamaican like myself 😃! So I have used K18 there is a trick in getting it to spread. I only discovered it on my 4 use. I don’t have heat damage but I got some damage from a routine I followed along with getting curly cuts. The k18 really helped with webbing and Velcro ends. I used a deep conditioner after the 4 minutes. Yes I think it would be nice to record the process weekly because I feel you can help someone with your experience. I only shared week one and week 4 on my platform. But I absolutely love k18. I had my cousin who is a stylist purchased my K18 and I got it half price. Ride or die, I always watch everyone’s video to the end.
LOL!! yes, born in Jamaica!! Someone else def mentioned the technique to get it to spread, so I'm going to try that on my next wash. Thanks so much for your feedback, I'll be sharing my weekly routine! Also, I appreciate you watching the video until the end. I think I'm so used to the short attention spans on Instagram that I feel most people will stop after a certain point!
Does it have slip or conditioner feel? I would never touch a brush to my washed unconditioned hair. I detangle with conditioner which is my recommendation for you. It also distributes the product more evenly. I’m trying to ascertain if I can use this like a conditioner to detangle
Wow! I watched the whole video, Aisha, and I think the K 18 will work in restoring your curls. I think a weekly update, comparing the results would be good. Ride or die! ♥️
I've found that it's best to not treat k18 as a leave-in as in leave-in conditioner. It's not a conditioner, but rather a treatment. So if you normally condition after shampooing and/or use a leave-in conditioner before your gels, you should still do that with the k18. The k18 is just a step between shampoo and whatever comes next. Our hair will dry out if we try to just shampoo, k18, style.
Dont condition after shampooing, it will coat the hair. Your hair needs to be clean for the treatment to penetrate or you’re wasting your time. DO use a leave in conditioner on top of the K18 though to help your hair out in the moisture category 😊
@@ririx.x5180 you can condition, leave in conditioner or deep conditioner after you let the k18 stay in your hair for 4min don’t use protein you have to use the k18 for 4-6 wash days then after that you can use it every third or fourth wash day the weeks you don’t use the k18 that when you can start using your protein
I did watch the vidéo until the end, thank you so much for your review. I bought the damaged shield today, i can't wait to use it! Before i buy the product in this video, let me check if you have other videos where you use it😊
Ride or die here! 🥰 I would like to see you do a check in whenever you use it! Hadn't heard of this product before so I will have to watch some of the other content on it. Hair and skin popping! Thanks for sharing!
Ty for this review. This showed exactly what i needed to know. Heads up Sams club sells the 1.7 oz for 49.99. I found someone with a membership and bought it. Cant wait for it to arrive.
Got it! I think you have to register as a hairstylist. For now, I'll work with this smaller size until i'm out and see how it goes. I appreciate the suggestion!
Wow. That product is promising for your hair. Hmm I'd say update maybe every 2 weeks juuuuust in case you don't get a chance to video it and to give the product a chance to win 😆. You have such beautiful full hair. And yes - Very Harlequin halloweenish nails lol luv it! 🎃 🍂 And YES - I'm a ride or die fan..whoop whoop! 🙌
Thanks as always for watching the full video! And I knowww, I'll have to really make sure I have time to film the video so it gets done, it seems majority wants a week by week. So, I'll work it out! And thank you so much, love that description of my nails!! They're definitely a favorite!
Beautiful Queen 💐 Your Gorgeous Hair Is Beautiful Like Always, I Know You Twist Your Hair But Have You Ever Use Perm Rods At The Ends Of The Damage Pieces Of Your Hair 💐
I have heat damage in a specific spot. The rest of my hair is in great shape. Im thinking that I should just use the treatment in that one specific spot to make it last longer. Meaning, section off the area where the damage is and just use that one pump for it emphasizing the heat damaged area within the section. This would ensure that one bottle will definitely last me the entire 4 to 6 week application. After that I can do this once a month as maintenance on my entire head as directed. That price tag is no joke! I gotta make due somehow until a much more affordable alternative hits the market because this jammy HAS to last me and be cost effective.
Ride or die here! 👋🏾 Nails are gorgeous, Yor hair is still gorgeous, 💕The K18 looks like it’s doing a thing. I pray the K18 works magic for your hair… Week to week update please!
Clarify before using this. strip everything and then use k18 leave in . DO NOT PIN IT UP , leave it alone for 4 minutes under a plastic cap. you botched this smh ... hopefully you do the research next time. you also need 4 pumps. you have long thick hair sis. & you have to rub it in your hands and the heat and friction will create more product for your whole head ... read the website :/

Can you tell me does it have slip to detangle? I detangle with conditioner so I’m scared to use this and my hair just be dry from shampoo

I don't know if it's been said but I believe you're supposed to rub it for 10 seconds until it becomes a white cast and then put it in your hair.
Love to see a 2 week check in
