I like how you show the schematic of a Honda pump which are the easiest to change. I can do it 10 minutes. It takes longer to get to the pump in a Polaris than it does to change in a Honda
I have a 2016 polaris general xp 1000 and ordered a rebuild kit. The kit doesn't contain a pressure relief valve but seems to have everything else I need. Is that going to be a problem? Im able to blow air through it. Removing the pump from the plastic basically seemed impossible until I just pulled the plastic housing apart from the sides. 😅🤣😂 Super simple. I wished I had watched this video first, but I got it as I was being extra careful. Great video! Thank you.
Thanks ordered the same pump, my fuel sender doesn't work prob a rust issue, clean the contacts and i should be good. For those reading I have a 2006 500 EFI X2 and I cant find a fuel assembly for this model so a rebuild is the only option.
Thanks for sharing. Would you know if cold weather affects the fuel pump? I have a 2017 Grizzly and when it gets just a little cold it wont start, i dont hear the pump cycle when turning the key either which leads to beleive its the fuel pump but then when it gets warmer out it starts so not sure.. any info would help. Thanks
Firstly, If you have no power to the fuel pump check the fuse is not blown visually & with a multi-meter for continuity. Consider swapping the old style fuse with an automatic or manual reset fuse as they are a better product.
Hello I have a question, so I have a 2008 can-am ds 450 . For some reason it Turn on and drives if I continue to give it gas . But as soon as I sit in one place for longer then 30 seconds it turns off , and keeps doing that , I thought it would be the fuel pump relay but I already change it and it’s doing the same thing can you help me out
Understandable ! Yet on a 2006 I’m having issue with there is a small dia. Inline filter on the line feeding the EFI throttle body. I’m about to remove the pump and check the float sending unit as it’s not registering the amount fuel in the tank, It’s indicating either full or empty. The worst problem on this machine is the modular control unit up front of the radiator with the circuit contact connectors coming loose causing poor connections or arcing. Either one the entire system is dead in the water. @@rmatvmc
The pump can test good but after running a hour or so it starts to fail for some reason The whole assembly is $350. Plus labor $500. I wonder if it can be sent somewhere for rebuild. Looks too much for me
Can you mention the year of the atv ? My fuel pump is 2208126 and cannot find a pump for it because its probably like that atv but your site only has the full unit wtf is wrong its a 2018 sportsman why is ot so hard to get a fuking pump

So is the check valve in the pump itself or at the top ofnthe sender where the hose goes out
I'm working on 06 Polaris sportsman 800 can I hook my pressure gauge to fitter on fuel rail? Will that give me proper readings?

@@jakebroussard2480 check out the fuel pump relay, get a red one that for the cold, thats what fixed my issue.

Is there not an inline fuel filter beyond the pump and the tank ?
It will vary by machine but many are like this with the only fuel filter being inside the tank as part of the fuel pump.
