My LRP shoots dime sized groups at 100 yards with Center X. Can’t get anything else to shoot well out of it. Maybe try a different lot, or try putting some more through the barrel to foul it in to the specific ammo. I find that when I switch ammunition it takes 20 shots or so for the barrel to “settle in” and start grouping at full potential.
Great info man thanks! I’ll have to get a few boxes and see if the results change. I did notice that with eley match after 15-20 shots it was grouping pretty good.
@@BROTUNED no problem! I know every barrel is different, but when I get home in a bit I’ll reply with the lot number mine really likes. Might be worth trying if you can get your hands on the same stuff! It took me a while to find something that worked really well out of mine and I was starting to get discouraged after trying many different types and lots of high dollar ammunition (tried just about every lot eley has to offer in their tenex and match stuff and still wasn’t happy with any of it). When I initially tried the lapua stuff it wasn’t grouping as well as I wanted it to either, but like I said, after I got a few mags through it things started tightening up and now it’s totally dialed. Went from being disappointed with this $1000+ .22 that’s supposed to be a tack driver to being my favorite rifle I own. Just keep trying stuff out and you’ll find something it loves eventually.
@@BROTUNED Also, for what it’s worth I’ve talked to a lot of guys that are very familiar with these rifles that compete in NRL .22, and I’ve heard from a lot of them that the chambers in these guns don’t like the eley headspacing, and to lean towards the lapua and SK stuff. From there just try different lots until you find the ones your rifle likes best.
@@BROTUNED That’s awesome. Like I said, whatever works for your particular rifle! In case you want to try it, the lapua center x lot number mine likes best is 22556/700446. Yours might hate it but it could be worth a shot!
Thank you for a very enjoyable and informative video - very much appreciate the chronographing of the three different types of ammo.My 457 (Synthetic) also favors the RWS Rifle Match as does my friends 457.Have subscribed and will share this in the 457 facebook group I am in..Thanks again.👍🏻
Forgive me if this was already asked, What brand is your ARCA rail? Im looking for a full length rail for my LRP. I havent decided what I want to use just yet. Any advise would be appreciated.
I went on Amazon and bought a random 400mm rail that extends past the end of the stock and also a few different arca quick attachments mounts so I could attach a bipod to it and move it wherever quickly
Scusa scrivo in Italiano : 1) Usa un'arma di più affermata precisione, 2) usa un appoggio più stabile al posto del bipiede, 3)fai attenzione al vento, 4)controlla i lotti delle cartucce.
It would be fun to try I haven’t ever used one. As far as rear bags go I also have never bought one I just make my own diy style I guess I should try it and see if there is any considerable difference
Very surprised , the rws smoked the cntr-x , that’s one brand I am unable to get any of, but after seeing your results of it I’m going to keep looking for some to try, 👍👍👍👍
Similar results with my 457LRP RWS R50 smoked my Midas + though SK Rifle match did 3rd best after R50 and Special Match. But i expect RWS to shoot decent as its what CZ test their rifles with at the factory.
Seems most do I wonder if there is any repeatability to it where you could hold a bit low right for the first shot. My luck it would double my group size ha ha
I normally do 20 in my CZ because it seems very inconsistent with any less. Most of the time I show foulers but trying to keep the video length down to a reasonable time, but thanks for the comment Lewis maybe I’ll start mentioning what I did prior
Good shooting and great job on the videos. I don't have to foul so many shots because the sk and tenx have the same lubricant so usually ten rounds will do it. Keep up the good work. Beagleman
i’m impressed with the RWS! thought forsure the center X would come out on top! loving your channel, learning a lot!!! thanks again.
No problem thank you

So far mine is enjoying the eley match I went out today and picked up 6 more boxes for further testing

I'm glad you shot it before I was going to try it,but I will stick with my norma tac-22 for 7 bucks a box!!
I can’t wait to try that stuff I get a lot of comments to try it but hard to come by around here
Check out palmetto state armory, for the tac 22
Thanks will do

Awesome thanks so much! So far that’s the best in my cz 457 have 8 more high end high priced ammo to test. I appreciate the sharing thanks so much!

I do not have a rifle that comes anywhere near grouping CCI SV, and I’ve tried many times.
Good shooting
You should try this ammo through a Sako quad, i am really impressed with the Cci standard velocity.
Cci sv works very well in a lot of rifles but you get those pesky flyers I have a video of it coming in my CZ 457 shoots well
Where dis u find that ammo @ that price?
Awesome video
My local Canadian gun shop. Nothing but the highest prices up here in Canada 🇨🇦
I find similar results from my lrp.
Thanks for the video.
What works best for you? I have some very ridiculously expensive stuff to test next. Let’s see if money improves accuracy
@@BROTUNED I'm having good luck with RWS Special Match, R50 when I can get it.
SK rifle match does great also.
I haven’t seen RWS Special match or R50 anywhere yet but definitely going to keep my eyes open.
Where can I get some of that rws?
I get it from my local gun shop
gita a front rest and a good rear bag, and you will be amazed, good luck

Ya that and the sk pistol match are very good. I have some top shelf ammo @ 35$ a box of 50 and going to start testing tomorrow weather depending.
@@BROTUNED yup the sk pistol match is a winner also. Which one is $35 per box? Ouch
Lapua X-act

Mine throws the shot high and left on a cold bore too.

It seems not fair game for Center-X, too much wind compares with the rest.
I haven’t honestly seen any evidence that Center x is better than sk branded ammo
You have to foul the ammo in when you change like that or none will shoot right try shooting at least 10 fouled when you change.
I normally do 20 in my CZ because it seems very inconsistent with any less. Most of the time I show foulers but trying to keep the video length down to a reasonable time, but thanks for the comment Lewis maybe I’ll start mentioning what I did prior
Yeah I always foul the barrel in but I almost always use sk standard plus and center x it does really well in my six czs keep on keeping on.

Thanks for the positive comment. I love to read all the comments I makes me want to shot more.
i love sk rifle match on the range and rws subsonic are impressive too for benchrest. With and without suppressor.
