I don't understand why everyone seems surprised by the benching. He has a 44% completion percentage. That is hard to imagine. Now there is a perception that he isn't ready to lead the team. That is a bad combination. He's been in the league for 2 years. He missed most of last season with injury and now he's been benched. This is a player that clearly needs all the reps he can get. The NFL is not a patient league. I would imagine he would get one more season to prove himself but from what I've seen it doesn't look good.

He's built like Cam Newton and has the arm equal to Allen, Herbert, and Mahomes. Those types of QBs don't just magically grow on trees, he's a rare kind. That being said, he's not very good, he's actually downright terrible so this is all about him not being able to do his job for a team that is trying to compete in a weak division and a weaker conference than usual. Let be real here...He should have been benched after the Dolphins game....Only reason Colts won was because of the Dolphins 2 fumbles in the 2nd half...1 of them giving the Colts the ball on the Dolphins 30 yard line that led to a TD...and the other fumble on the Colts 13 yard line with the game tied in the 4th and Dolphins about to score. Dolphins without Tua choked that game away.........Richardson had like 4 completions in the 1st half of that game and finished the game 10/24 for 129 yards and no TD's...42% Completion %😂. The Dolphins D is trash...Kyler Murray just passed for over 300 yards on the Dolphins this pass week and Kyler was averaging about 190 yards a game passing on the season..
