Three scenarios on who the Ottawa Senators should take in the 2024 NHL Draft with the No. 7 pick. Based on analysts NHL Mock Draft for the Sens. #nhldraft #ottawasenators
Pretty sure Zeev Buium will be the best dman in this draft. He should actually be considered for top 3 overall in my book. If he's available to the Sens, you run to the stage and pick him. I like Parekh too, but Zeev Buium is better all around
Perhaps he's a bit better now but the senators need RD! They have needed RD for five years and with guys like Lassie Thompson heading back to Sweden. I think they go after a RD.
Buium has Makar-like potential. If they are going RD I'd rather they do that with the Bruin's pick. Emery and Elick could be fantastic picks at 25. They are both modern defensive defencemen who shoot right.
I'd prefer Zayne Parekh. He is a RD-man and is a right handed shot. And the Sens need that. Parekh's hockey IQ is also fantastic and he should be higher then NO.7. He has a lot of Makar and Karlsson in him. HIs skating capabilities is unreal. His vision to make play's is exactly what Karlsson had. And Parekh can also put up major numbers as he did last season.
I'm not a sens fan. But they don't really have that right-handed defenseman stud, in their system at all. Parekh or Yakemkuck should be the pick. Both of them should be available. If not, definitely one, but they have the potential to both be offensive. Powerhouses.
they need RD! Chabot, Sanderson, Chychrun , Branstrom, and Kleven are all LD. I will disown them if they draft another LD with the glaring perpetual hole at RD for the last five years and nothing in the pipeline
I think it's going to be a RD. They have desperately needed RD for five years. If they take a L D, with Sanderson, Chabot, Chychrun and Branny I will be pissed. Unless they're going to address RD via trade or FA.
If Iginla is available at 7, Ottawa will swap their pick for Calgary's 9th but Weeger has to be in that trade. One of Ottawa's left "D" goes the other way. Maybe Markstrom and Forsberg in there as well. This goes a long way in solving the right side issue for Ottawa and then they can draft the best player and not the best positional. Both teams could benefit big and accomplish what they want
They should pick the best player available. I feel that with being realistic, Catton or Parekh would be the best picks available. I really like Buium for them as well, they already have three LHD, so Chabot could move back to the right side, or they leverage Chychrun for a trade.
Hey my dude! Lovin' your scouting videos. Can you please make one on Matvei Shuravin? Or have you not been able to due to Russian copyrights? Keep up the amazing work 👏 thank you thank you
Senators have Chabot, Sanderson and Chychurn along with Branstrom on the left side… It's the last thing they need to draft for. They need a big strong RD or go with a forward.
It will end up being Parekh, Staios loves the OHL and has connections to a ton of OHL scouts. The Sens need two dmen to fill out that right side, the consensus is that the Sens will be trying to bring in Demelo from WPG as a FA and Parekh would instantly be able to slot into a PP role while playing sheltered minutes the rest of the time, Zub, Melo, Parekh would not be a bad right side and the potential of a Sanderson Parekh PP duo is too good to pass up in my opinion. Parekh has the skating and offensive instincts to be reliable on the PP in the NHL right now, the Sens will give him 8 games and if he can help the PP he will likely stay up the entire season, as long as he can play sheltered minutes without being a sieve defensively that is (which is easier said than done)
The Kid is the first OHL dman to score 96 points since Ryan Ellis over a decade ago and Parekh did it in his draft year not draft plus 1 like others close to him. Elis was a good Dman and had his back not been destroyed he would still be playing in the NHL.
@@neilsunstrum933 it doesnt matter. you take best available player at 7 neil lol. not reach off the board for a RH dman....grab a RHdman at 25. i dont understand how sens fans dont get this
@@neilsunstrum933 we need a RH dman NOW. not reach draft one off the board at 7 n then wait 2/3 years till hes in the league. we need to go get demelo back...or roy
does not matter they will pick someone like tyler boucher ranked fifth round 7th overall probably american high school slug who can barely skate and does not want to play in Canada ... thats how this team rolls
Cayden please fall to #7 😭😭 Parekh probably the most realistic but i’d love Catton, Dickinson, Buium, Iginla, Silayev etc also. Should be getting a good player no matter what at #7!
@@curefied man I would prefer a defensive defenseman, but a lot of Sens fans really want Parekh for some reason. I’d take Dickinson or Buium first even if they’re LD.
The Sens need a defensive RD. Yakemchuk wouldn't be bad but not at 7. Parekh has no defensive game at all. I want us to take a forward at 7 and look for the D-man with the 25 pick
Who do you think the OTTAWA SENATORS should take with the 7th Overall pick? Let us know! #nhldraft
Surprised to keep seeing Buium to Sens when they clearly need a right hand D. Parekh alongside Sanderson would be fun to watch!

I have to agree at this point. Parekh sure is fun to watch though.

Problem is we need a top 4 right hand right side d man that cam play right now. You think he ready for that?
I'd love to see them aquire Zayne Parekh. He is projected to go number 7th, and is RHD. Which is what we need
Definitely the area of weakness in Ottawa for five years
He is good but he needs to improve his backchecking asap ...

it shouldnt matter what hand tbh. take the best player available!! dickenson and buium > parekh yamchuk

Buium, Dickinson, Lindstrom... one of those three will be available and a great pick.

We need a d man that can play right now on right side
Based off what I’ve heard, I’d go :
1. Dickinson
2. Buyim
3. Iginla

Thanks for watching...much appreciated! KHL copyrights are tough, but I'm trying to get some more done. Cheers!
Would be nice to have kleven - parekh combo reminiscent of the methot - karlsson duo 🤷

Any thoughts on Sens drafting a Canadian to better balance the team ? As it is, could be a little too many Americans in Canada’s capital….
I think it will be Pareck.. ..a RIGHTTTTTT-D Man .... That's the need....not a LEFTYYYY
There is no way Demidov falls to 5
Not taking another LD nor do we need another offensive defenseman.
Dickinson, Silayev, Parekh or Catton
Parekh should be that pick, the way he's playing at the MEM CUP he may not be available though ??? Can't wait for the draft 😎
I'm a die hard Sens fan, I pray for Buium. Think he goes to Utah but if he's there, I like him as the best D-man after Levshunov
Zayne Parekh
I like Biuim but Parekh would help solve our RHD problem.
I lole dockinson and zeev. Or catton
They could use anything since their pool is lacking. I’m thinking they go Zayne because he’s a RHD. I think it’s a reach but he’ll still be solid
Ottawa needs more Canadians
definitely Zayne Parekh
Dickinson
Yesss
Look at that new Sens log… oh wait
HAHAHA! It just works better for photos!
Sens fan here. Very concerned that we will draft Parekh just because he's a RHD. Sure he's good but 7OA good? I'm not convinced

Dickinson or bust for Ottawa .Zeev will be a bust. Iginla if you can't get Dickinson
I just want a Canadian player. Cheers from Ottawa.
As a sens fan I want Dickinson or bouim
agreeed!!
Dickinson for sure
We don't need LD. We've desperately needed RD for five years…
