Thank you for this! I am 15 and I have just been diagnosed with severe scoliosis. I have chosen not to have the surgery as I am only borderline on severity. I have spent the days since my diagnosis adjusting to try and straighten my back and I am getting worried about it getting worse. This has been so helpful, thank you :)
Daisy i am 15 years old I also decided no for fusion. I hv fear In future I wouldn't hv regret for this. Can't decide should go for Sergey or not my curve is 36 and 45
I have a 57 degree curve in the thoracic area.. They want to fuse from T2 - l1 I'm scared to get it.. But I want to feel good enough to be with someone..
Thanks for sharing your experience with Scoliosis and the impact that it had on your mental health. I’m glad to hear that you are much better. Great inspiring story for those who still suffer or are suffering. Thanks, (GivingUpIsNotAnOption)
I was told i need spinal fusion last month... Im currently on the waiting list and it took me 3 years to relise that the reason why i have had such terrible mental health was because of my scoliosis... I will never wish it upon anyone
A very important subject, indeed. Thank you for this video, which is like a friendly pat on the shoulder to the ones like me, who identify with the problem.
Respect.❤️Thankyou! I am so impressed with your courage & ability to talk straight & clear about the impact scoliosis has on self-esteem & mental well-being. Depression, anxiety, stress…I was officially diagnosed at age 58,tho clearly my spine was curving long before. The painhas been horrid. Ive realized thd depth of the developing pain, shame, anxiety & masking. To be a teen with scoliosis is unfathomable to me. And here you are now, with a TH-cam channel, frankly sharing your story. You are amazing!!! Thankyou Thankyou! I’m looking at surgeries for extreme curvature in a few months. I also have not wanted to be here, due to the unmanageable pain & hopelessness, my disappointment in my own body, the one body I get. Anger, isolation, shame, self-loathing, hiding…My spine cant be100% straight either, but I’ve been trying to think of surgeries as a Big Creative Project to celebrate Future Me, knowing there are no guarantees. I am so glad I found you. Thankyou! InJoy(&fear), Laurel 🌿 Subscribed!
I am a moderate scoliosis patient. but since the past 6 months my bent spine often hurts and feels numb or like being pricked by a needle. and this pain is even worse if I rest and lie down followed by a constant stiffness and throbbing in the bone. is this a sign that my scoliosis is getting worse? I'm sorry for my bad english
