Necron Hierarchy & Power Structure - From Warrior to Phaeron- Explained (Warhammer 40K)

- The Necrons are soulless mechanical entities that emerge from ancient tombs to wage war upon the living universe. These robotic beings have vast legions, armed with hyper-advanced technology that renders them nearly invincible. They slumber within subterranean tombs across the universe, periodically awakening to unleash havoc. These ancient death machines can dismantle even the strongest protective barriers and thickest armor plating using their advanced weaponry and mechanized forms. They are not a single faction though, and while they have been ruled by a triarch of three Phaerons in the past, they are now divided and scattered. But even then, they do still possess a strong and rigid hierarchy or a power structure. And while occasional alliances may form, the individual Necron rulers generally pursue their objectives and their politics is like a Cosmic Game of thrones. In the end though, their ultimate shared goal is to reclaim what was once theirs.

Silent King doesn't have the command protocols anymore since he destroyed them but he is still the highest authority within the Necron hierarchy by law and right.
You forgot to mention C’tan shards, which are the lowest in the Necron Heirarchy.
Ouch, lower than Canoptek robots? The Necrons must have really loved their bodies, despite the cancer.
@@WolfeSaber9933They got their souls eaten away and then enslaved by the C‘tan, So yeah lower than Canoptek machines.

Id say this is the hierarchy:
Silent King
Triarch Members
Praetorian Adjudicator
Silent King Envoy (ie Anrakyr)
Dynasty Phaeron
Dynasty Overlord (various ranks)
Dynasty Lord (various ranks/roles)
Dynasty Cryptek (various disciplines)
Dynasty Royal Warden
Praetorians
Lychguard
Immortals
Deathmarks (less honourable than true Immortals)
Warrior Pilots (tomb blades, etc)
Warriors
Destroyer Lord (all types)
Destroyers (all types)
Canopteks (all types)
Flayed Ones
Ctan
The only thing that should be mentioned with this list is that many destroyers and even flayed ones might have more cognitive capacity than sometimes even lychguard, especially destroyer lords but they are still lower on the hierarchy because of their behavior or in the case of flayed ones, their disease.
Also, great breakdown.
Praetorians Up
"You're leaders are just TALLER than everyone else!?!!!???"
I really got into Necrons when they were first released (well, as a proper army, not some weird _Rogue Trader_ mini faction). At the time they were pretty spooky as soulless, emotionless, terminator, silver skeletons ruled by C'tan. But the model range and theming seemed to be pretty limited by that portrayal, so even though I don't play anymore, I'm glad they found a way to do a positive retcon, even reversing the power dynamic with the C'tan.

You have the best 40k lore channel I've seen so far because of two important things.
1) There isn't an intrusive sequence of ads that make the video hard to sit through
And 2) You just pull it up and give the lore without any stupid intros that drag on for 2 minutes, only to pause with "HAY GUYZE, loooove yooouiii, GIMME MONEY!!"
😂The neck krone
3. Not sliding in too much of his personal problems into the lore video as if people that watch genuinely care about him/her, like how Wes would bring in his 3 years old worth of grudge into every single one of his videos by making some smartass sarcastic remark about it just because he got manhandled by the hardcore fanbase that fact checked tf out of him when he was starting out as a small channel. Or like Luetin talking for an entire hour straight of his personal opinions on the prospect of the lore-writing before actually getting into the lore itself.
I guess its got something to do with growing to be a big channel on a small-yet hardcore fanbase, that it is fueling them this huge smoothie of ego, it’s like that OG Peter Parker scene “..They love me 😚”
@@SordidusFellatioI'm liking Baldermort more and more these days, for mostly the same reasons stated here. It's just straight up lore done with its own distinct style and storytelling ability. There isn't much negative I can say about that channel either. And can we just agree that Wes and his intentional Donald Trump hairstyle is about as ridiculous as one can be? Caring nothing about who or what trump is I don't think anyone thinks his hairstyle is actually handsome. To emulate that on purpose is beyond weird. 😂
@@SordidusFellatioAnd Majorkill isn't that bad either, a bit annoying at times and definitely a shill for ads but somewhat more entertaining than the others. He isn't super weird like most of his comrades though so he gets points for that I suppose.
Lol you should was Weshammer
Eres el video que estaba buscando, asi este en ingles me gusto mucho tu video y es lo que necesitaba, muchas gracias por hacer el video❤
good video...thank you!!!
Flayers have an overload in the bone kingdom, and one flayer still listens to his Phaeron after keeping some self-control and loyalty to his ruler, even though he was outlawed in the dynasty
keep going hard bro
My new favorite warhammer 40k channel keep up the hard work and take Majorkill out of business !!!

How would the Necrons react to a Qaesarcraft from Stellaris Gigastructural Engineering? Would they be for the first time impressed by such a feat of properly developing and harnessing such a power being accomplished by someone else?
Pariahs, Specters, Immortals, Heavy Destroyers and so on
Pariahs are just experimentation on humans
Specters & Heavy Destroyers are Destroyers
Immortals - covered
“a Destroyer is a heavily altered variant of the Necron Immortal”
“The Destroyers? They are weapons, nothing more, and should be expended as such. They are Necron in form only, having been reborn to a madness deeper than any other to which I have borne witness. Whilst I hold nothing but approval for their drive and efficiency, I can present no logic adequate to justify their ultimate goal. A warrior's proper function is to fight for a profound objective, to leave behind works or deeds greater than himself. Given free reign, the Destroyers would leave behind nothing; not life, nor art, nor glory. Only dust would remain. I am a soulless machine, yet even I feel pity for their victims”
SZAREKH, LAST OF THE SILENT KINGS
So it’s safe to say the Necron don’t even value them as anything other than hired guns.
Pariah
Necron Pariahs are captured Human Blanks who have undergone the ancient Necron biotransferance process so that their consciousness is now housed within a new cybernetic body. Necron Pariah used to serve as a voice for the Necron race back in the days of Dark Crusade before GW decided to give Necrons personality and abolish the whole mindless killer robot thing, so now the Pariah basically serve no other purpose other than being a blank, they aren’t even considered true Necrons because of their human roots and still retain many of their fleshy Human organs encased within their necrodermis shell, making them far more vulnerable to weapons fire than their immortal counterparts.
nice
The omnysaia is propably the c'tan The Void Dragon, well we know that at least half od the Void dragon was in ouer solar system , and we also knew that the emperor has conunqer the dragon on Mars (Terra) where mechanicus start to exist becouse of the maschine god, and as we also knows the Void Dragon was c'tan that build evry weapon that necrons have (well at least 72%) becouse he was the bigest mastermind when it comes to the machines , ofcourse it is not confirm and it's my opinnion but it maks sense
Omnissiah
Day 5: please do a powerful scaling video
What about Royal Wardens? Where do they fit in?
I forgot about those, but I think they're an offshoot or Vargards
Royal Wardens would be somewhere in between Varguards and lords, as they're essentially a mix of emissary and lieutenant and are still sentient.
@@aorer1613 The Warrant Officers (WO1's) - or "Master Chiefs" for the USA fans - of the Necrons perhaps...
