FYI The clocktower is not from 1755! It says on the sign it is from the 10th century, and it was part of an old church of Saint Mary which was washed away in a landslide in 1755. So it is ~1100 years old. And the wooden and steel reinforcements you see are due to damage from the earthquake in L'Aquila in 2009. I'm glad you enjoyed the area! where else did you visit apart from Rotella and Sant'Elpidio a Mare?
@@jonnygorgs I was all over the place. 3,000 km driven in two weeks just checking out lots of different places, since we are looking for a home. I’ll post a video soon from some of my other travels. I had so much fun. I loved Le Marche the most.
There is a moment you comment saying ‘view of the neighbours garden’…so the green space outside the back of the property that the widows look out over belongs to someone else, correct?
I saw a ton of homes that were recently renovated that had the earthquake protection installed. I’m assuming Rotella took some damage because of the number of reinforcements, too. Some look like they’ve been there for a while now.
Had to watch twice… so there is no lounge or sitting room or family room? Just kitchen terrace or storage. Kitchen is superb but I would prefer to have a shared space to relax away from the business of the cooking and dining.
@@edwardsierpowski3839 true, but that long bedroom on the ground floor would make a very nice family room. There’s a half bathroom there and enough room to put a little coffee bar, television, sofa, etc.
Italy's "beauty" just keeps on giving. Lovely , large townhouse with lots of potential. 😊
So glad you shared this video! I also saw it on wandering with wine. It is an amazing find!
Very nice and clean, with a lot of options for a home office, gaming/video room and lovely terrace!

Tenth century is the years 900 through 999
@@GenXWitch67 yes exactly that's why I said it's about 1100 years old
Beautiful house. Not sure about the kitchen on the top floor. Who wants to lug their groceries up there?
I would be glad to. :)
I think they review this one on "Wandering With Wine" as well [pictures only].
That’s why I posted this video. I saw their video and realized I’d been in the same house and had some video I’d never posted.
@@thefulchman Good stuff. Thanks for that...
Oh wow, it really is an absolute stunner! Thanks so much for sharing 😍 Do you mind if we add a link to your video?
@@wanderingwithwine sure. :)

Beautiful! Much repair going on in that town. Nobody walking around very quite. Was there an earthquake?
There was a large earthquake in Central Italy, including Rotella, in 2016.
There is a moment you comment saying ‘view of the neighbours garden’…so the green space outside the back of the property that the widows look out over belongs to someone else, correct?
Yes, I believe so. There was no outside space that I was told about that belongs to this house.
I wonder how many of these structures suffer from Earthquake damage thus the re-inforcements.

I've seen this one before. Nice but lots of stairs.
The views and those bathrooms though. :)
Sale price on this home ??
@@SamManor-r5i I believe it’s 260,000 euros asking price. Just do a google search for “Casa Leopardi” and you’ll find it easily.
A lot of bracing and shoring up. Is this town susceptible to more earthquake activity than usual?
I don't know, but I do think that Rotella suffered some damage from the big 2016 quake.
How much
@@claysmith4469 current asking price is 260,000 euros. Do a google search for Casa Leopardi Rotella and you’ll find the listing.

@ that’s not exactly practical. Will keep you fit but not great for day to day living.
I'd make that long bedroom with the fireplace the lounge.
