In this video, you would hear different types of Jazz music. 20’s-40’s Jazz (Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington), 50’s Big Band Jazz (Nancy Wilson, Frank Sinatra), Pinoy Jazz (Katie Dela Cruz, Jacqui Magno), Jazz Pop/Traditional Pop (Shirley Bassey, Pilita Corrales), Indie Jazz (Ingrid Michaelson), Modern Smooth Jazz (Norah Jones, Haley Reinhart), R&B Jazz (Kevin Michael, Eric Benet), Neo-Soul/Hiphop Jazz (Erykah Badu, Jill Scott), Modern Jazz Pop (Corrine Bailey Rae), Soul Jazz (John Legend, Dianne Reeves), Jazzy Modern Pop/Blue-eyed Soul (Amy Winehouse, Adele) Even before taking formal Jazz lessons in Los Angeles, California and before being coached by a Jazz vocal coach (Yosha Honasan), Sarah has already been singing a lot of Jazz songs and Jazz-inspired Pop songs. In certain performances during her earlier years in the industry, she’s been showcasing some strong vocal influences from Jazzy singers such as Shirley Bassey, Amy Winehouse, Katie Dela Cruz, Estelle, Pilita Corrales and many more. You will hear the Jazz elements in her vibrato, tone, and vocal texture in certain performances. 2011 was the year she finally took formal Jazz lessons in California where she took her long Showbiz break. Until now, she is still being coached by a Jazz vocal coach named Yosha Honasan. You will hear in her current phrasing, vibrato, dynamics, accent, and improvisations the “Jazz” in her sound. Enjoy the beauty of this non-stop compilation of Sarah Geronimo’s colorful, classy, and tasteful Jazz vocals.

Hi @johnharrison3281.... Can I ask how did you know that she took up Jazz lessons? Seems to me that you have been a follower of SG. I am an avid fan too. She can do any genre. At nagagawa niya iba't ibang boses depende sa kung ano klaseng song.
Hello! She actually mentioned it in her 2011 interview with Pep. The title of the article is "Sarah Geronimo back from the U.S., faces latest issues". You can search it on google. She also currently has two vocal coaches who are always with her during her recording sessions and in her live performances, Annie Quintos who also teaches vocal jazz and Yosha Honasan who specializes in vocal Jazz. Yosha also sings as a backup vocalist in most of Sarah Geronimo's shows. She is the daughter of Kyla's vocal coach in Jazz as well (which Kyla mentioned in her interview with Martin Nievera).

I like her rock and jazzy side. Her soulful side is just a little below the 2 genres she's very good at.
