The 6.282 values works because the measurement is in radians and not degrees. π radians = 3.141 radians = 180 degrees 2π radians = 6.28318 radians = 360 degrees Metric system uses Radians. To convert degrees to radians use the formula degrees * π /180 = radians
You added intesresting modifications not only that Web-splines are modified B-splines which are adapted to standard finite element requirements. We usually use formal defenition in the introduction involving a weight function and extension cofficients - this is really valuable 👍 GOOD LUCK
I watch this video and I'm crying. There is still the old interface design and it is so SIMPLE and CLEAR! I don’t understand why Webflow redesigned and created this new monster. Working in Webflow has now become a real torture 😖
@@mazensabra7859 For some reason they moved it to opposite side of header and stuck one of the most frequently used buttons somewhere between the Comment and Share and made it as small as possible 😡
This seams like an important question to be answered, but at the moment my impression is that CF is faster without variables, and I do not see a reason to use them, if you add size value it can't be changed through breakpoints without code, if you think of using variables instead of CF it will slow you down. Unless you want to make dark/light toggle switch for a page/section. Or for components like CTA/NAV that you want to have in light/dark version. I still think we should get an answer from Finsweet regarding this, I assume they would test variables in action and Lighthouse results to compare scores with/without variables. As we already know using built in fonts from Webflow isn't helping with scores on page speeds, having them in variables probably won't too. This features looks more like Figma/Framer one, not the one you would use for website 20+ pages and more. But it is good for people just starting and not being aware of CF benefits, so overall Webflow websites will be more "optimized" generally. This is just my opinion, but if Joe says where should we use it for sure will do.
Don't see how it changes anything, really. Variables are best used for colours and column spacing. Colours affect practically nothing in CF, and you can view column spacing as an optional improvement where it's necessary.
@@ethanrogers9627 I agree, still Joe said on twitter: "Variables will bring a significant upgrade to Client-First". At the moment I am at the start on few projects, just needed to make sure am I missing something. It is hard to believe that it isn't changing anything, I guess we'll see over the next month/two once they add more Variables other than Color/Size/Font, or just breakpoints for size.
My sites doesn't load any Spline link properly. I always see a placeholder scene. It doesn't work at all. Not in existing projects nor in new sites. No answers in the documentary.
I'm based in South Africa - the Spline demo is incredibly laggy? Is that because the server it's hosted at is far away, or is it laggy for most people?
Woaw it look like complexe to recreate this... i think that more efficient to create animation directly in SPLINE , its definetely more easy. Are you agree ?
I agree, but he's just recreated the animation here. I think the power comes with more complex interactions and page based behaviours (e.g on scroll animations etc)

this is absolutely it, mate. Thank you for the quick correction!
I haven't heard Joe this happy and excited in a long time! Love this!!

Next they should add Rive integration

Same! I was just in the process of learning Webflow and getting used to the old interface, and now I hate the new one 😖
This is great... but I think Webflow really needs to add the ability to group actions to help keep it nice and tidy.
is client first still efficient considering the addition of variables? any plans for updating?

Fans ramping up :D
I have a M1 Pro, and I was never EVER hearing the fans ramp up until I started working with Spline :D
How is this 3D thing optimized for devices? I mean mostly overheating and overall performance?
Nice, spline is so easy to use. Been using it for a few years now.
