When you can hum a bassline, that’s a great line. The bassline for “Ted just admit it” is super iconic and easy to hum. So awesome.
Truly amazing how one Christmas gift from parents to their son in 1982 inspired X amount of lives in the years to follow.

Summertime Rolls, Mountain Song, and Three Days are the most iconic for me. Goddamn, those are some incredible bass lines. The songs wouldn't have been nearly as impactful without them. Eric's contribution to the band was truly enormous. He's a creative genius and if you haven't heard his solo work, I highly recommend it.
“Summertime Rolls” has been my favorite song from Eric’s P-Bass that keeps repeating in my memory for many decades with the rhythmic flow of funkadelic bass lick grooves just over and over makes me smile even though I F’N HATE Summer being from the South’s Hot Humid record breaking heat!#🛹🏄♂️🎼🎸🧨💥🔥✨
Sometimes a band has essential ingredients to create magic and Eric is one of those essential ingredients
P bass is the best bass that fender will ever make . The looks the sound the fill all perfect
He was the real secret sauce in that band. That Bass is a testament to how solid fender products are.

He and the band do not get along, the reunion tour was it really, and that's why I saw them twice on that tour... He is a part of the core and without him it's not the same to me. I might be biased since I am a bassist who loved to play along with Jane's stuff, hehe.
You can hear Peter Hook's influence in Eric's playing. Like he said, "cyclical". And also very memorable.
Love his tone. Sooo many great bass players came out of the late 80’s-90’s: Simon Gallup, Noveselic, Mike Starr, Flea, Colin Greenwood, Twiggy, Justin Chancellor, etc, etc, etc…
all good songs evolve around a good bassline. and he just put out a ton of good lines.

If your shit gets bumped by accident during a gig - mid song, sometimes its easier just to reference a tone knob position vs fucking around with it, since you got very little time to get it right. You know, a loud gig.. where it hard to hear shit if you dont have in-ears.
