You know you have great fish when the "rejects" are still beautiful.

That comes from generations of selection leading to uniformity in the species and strains. The difference between the best fish and worst fish is small.

    Mr Charles wrong 😳 Never!!! 💪🐟 🤣
Glad to see you had more males and females to choose from to keep this beautiful line strong!!
It makes perfect sense to me what you're looking for when you're looking for the specific characteristics to carry on the specific name of that line! Meeting the criteria and the standards of what you are breeding and selling to the public!! There does have to be a set standard from top breeders to hopefully ensure when these fish get into other breeders hands or even just hobbyist, that those lines can be carried on!! Videos like yours help me understand what to look for and understand how you have produced a hardy healthy fish that will continue those lines!!
Thanks for introducing me to another beautiful African cichlid!
I hope you, Susie, Stormy, Carl, Oso,Mya, the Fred's and beautiful residents of Goliad Farms has a great day!!🙏🌿🐟🌿💚🥰

This is a very pretty and large fish. By the next breeding cycle, the selected males should be much larger.

Looking good as always Charles! It's actually almost time for me to place that order for my 2 year old first tank. She's getting a 10 for Christmas and has a 30 lined up for the summer time upgrade. Keep an eye out for the email

@@goliadfarms7029 Yea, it was later for me, I did a little 10 gallon cichlid tank when I was 14. Which within a year had my house covered in 6 tanks, 1 of every kind, cichlids, brackish puffer, reef, FoWLR, etc.
I do have a question for you. Since,, unfortunately it'll probably be after Christmas before her tank is cycled. I had to move stuff around. Getting water in tonight, omw to the store for some last things. Would you recommend 3 or 4 small (im thinking about an inch long) cichlids for a standard 10? I'm going to do a scape with a ton of caves, line of site breaks, plants, etc to help with territorial disputes. And the plan is to upgrade to a 30 asap but it'll most likely be September for her bday present (and mine 😀) also, any smaller species you would recommend? I don't want to end having to do a 55 or 120 in a year or to 2 lol.
Sorry it was such a long post, ty for always taking the time to talk to your fans, nevermind customers. Merry Christmas 😀

Another favorite but in my opinion a tangerine tiger has to have stripes. Both variations are beautiful both to me only one is a tiger.

    • @goliadfarms7029
      @goliadfarms7029  2 ปีที่แล้ว

This species has a lot of variation. I try to keep a species as we got it. Next breeding cycle I'll probably pick bolder striping again.

Doc one question did you ever had issues with growth in hibiting harmones ? your thoughts on this pls..
actually the wtare system is a close loop and in theory u sgoud have the harmone circulating in the system and effecting all ..... otherwise there is no such harmone ?

    • @goliadfarms7029

Yes, we sell fish on our website at goliadfarms.com/. Click on the "Shop" button to see what we currently list.
Do you mean OB Peacocks? Like guppies, OB Peacocks are highly variable. Established strains tend mostly to breed true, but you can always expect some variation.

@@djones2154 We ship sub-adult cichlids and livebearers via FedEx overnight. The cost of shipping adult cichlids via FedEx is prohibitive due to the amount of water necessary for successful shipment when they are packed for over 24 hours.
