Michael, what can 1 say but a perfect day, perfect field, master Detectorist and some bloody lovely finds young man....So very jealous of the fibula never found 1, but got a roman axe pendant confirmed by the flo and been at the museum for the last 3 months and been told would be added shortly. Happy days Michael and a great video. Kind regards Ian and Connor Green...
Superb video Michael, you must have been going home with a massive grin on your face, a day many dream of. Little tip though, get yourself some knee pads mate, take it from an old ex electrician who spent a lot of time on them, 4 operations on one knee lol Saw your bare knees on that soil and it's first thing i thought of. Could do with that plough on the pasture I've been talking to you about.
Thanks Dion, it was a great day for sure however I went back to this field the week after and what I found that day made this one look insignificant 😮 mate I have been thinking about getting a knee pad. Do you recommend any? 👍👍
@@OMA_MetalDetecting the ones from Regions are pretty good, but knee pads are a personal preference thing, different people get on better with different pads, but one tip, with the one with straps and clips, cross them at the back, so not just straight across, stops them irritating the back of your knee joints where it can be a bit tender.
At 11.20 ish I though spur too although it seems a bit small but maybe for a youngster ? However still wonderful to be holding such an ancient item. Keep on digging and sharing please 😉🇨🇦
Lovely mate, that fibula's a scorcher!... 😍 Yes, I thought (maybe) spur too, like some others here - it's maybe a bit 'substantial' tho'? Anyways, def. an interesting find, along with that other mystery object... 🙏🏻 Thanks as ever buddy, B 🐭
I was leaning more toward a bucket mount mate. It could still be a spur but it’s very small one, maybe it’s Warwick Davies’s one 🤣 I went back in this field and probably had one of my best days yet so stay tuned for that video buddy. Chat soon 👍👍
That strange object had what I saw an "eye" ( indent ) and overall a bulls head with horns in my opinion. It is old and crudely made but it is a great find.
@@OMA_MetalDetecting When I saw the round indentation and saw it as a possible 'eye' then the horns made me see it as a bull's head. That said if it is a bulls head then you have a very old relic. Cheers from Canada!
Michael, nice Roman fibula and hammered silver as well as the top hat piece. That is a good field for sure. I sent you and email asking a question about the Xtrem Hunter. But I got my answer so thanks anyway… John
@@OMA_MetalDetecting No worries Micheal it probably went to your spam folder. I found out that I apparently have too much metal hardware in me to use the Xtrem Hunter. My stainless and titanium joints and spine fusion hardware would set it off. I had read something about it mostly detecting from under the coils but in my case that isn’t so… John
@@shooterjohn7163 yes John, anything below the coil will cause interference. Same with mobile phones, Bluetooth headphones and radio mics that go above the coils. It’s a very sensitive bit of gear. I’ve seen it pick up a car from an almost unbelievable distance away. Oh and from now you are forever known as bionic John 🤣👍
@@OMA_MetalDetectingthanks Michael my old Whites TM 808 two box I swear it could detect airplanes flying overhead. Yes whenever I’m into the hospital they all say I’m the bionic man due to my 51 surgeries. My shoulder is getting better since my last rotator cuff surgery. Of course I still use it more than I should. Thanks again John
At first look that surface find does look like a spur for sure in my eyes, but hey what do i know 😁😂👍🏻 all the best Michael, Ryan.
Great video Michael. I think your mystery finds is a Celtic bucket mount.
Oh wow, now that would be something special! I’m going to have to dig this out and take a closer look now. Thank you so much 👍👍
Michael 😮 looks like an ox head to me 😮😮, well done buddy for yet another great video.😃 best wishes Kelvin.😊

Thanks Steve, I still wonder what that item is but somebody suggested a bucket mount which I liked. Keep an eye open for next weeks video. ATB 👍👍
