The deal was never in danger. Calafiori was on vacation following the Euros and nothing was going to be done until he returned afterwards. Arsenal and Bologna have a good relationship, so stories that the deal hit a snag helped Bologna quietly look for a replacement without clubs jacking up the price knowing they would have the money and Arsenal could let stories leak about a number of players so they could quietly concentrate on players they want. A win/win all around.

There are people who complain about everything even when things are going well. Most of them are not patient enough to see what business we do come the start of the season up to the end of the window
For the top teams in the world, very few players can make their way through the academy to the squad. The role of the academy is to generate revenue by selling those players and using the money to buy missing pieces. Every couple years a player will make it to the squad, but a Saka or Emile Smith Rowe is the exception not the rule. Young players that don't see a path to the first team will leave, and others will replace them. Obi-Martin may lave, but someone will take his place.
Let's get Williams & Gyökeres deal done and stop messing around. By the time we sell ESR, Eddie etc alot of these players may no longer be available. Let's be realistic on player sales valuations and let's buy the above now. Let's beat Barca. Who knows unless we make offer m8

I disagree with Harry wholeheartedly on this one. It doesn't matter whether these guys make it into the arsenal first team or not. The point is we should either make a profit on these guys through selling them or promote these players into the under 21s or the first team squad. Plus we don't currently have a specialist no9 in the squad and we're selling Nketiah. We really should be setting up an MCM to give these guys first team experience.

Chido is looking likely to go to Man Utd who have Hojlund but have even gone ahead to sign Zirkzee but he still sees them as an option. All the clubs he's looking at have 2 or more established striker options. The problem is Arteta unlike Klopp, Guardiola n even Ten Hag, who have bedded in academy talent into first team games regardless of pressure has failed these youngsters by getting carried away by the so-called pressure n overlooked these youngsters even when the opportunity came n everyone n his dog were calling for their introduction. There was a mismanagement in that area we need to do better. Rather than lobbying spin campaigns Arsenal should do better n really understand the irritation of fans to this bleeding error.
