In today’s lengthy video I have compiled 10 stunning and insanely useful text animations. I use these animations very often especially because a lot of them can be turned into presets, which make them perfect to use in a pinch. The animations range from super easy to fairly intermediate. Take it at your own pace and play around with all of them.

these are amazing, i wouldnt mind a follow up sequel video to this eventually. I feel like the first 1 sync animation must have a plugin to achieve this full effect right? seems like a lot of work for something so simple
There might be although I am not familiar. It can be tedious but usually I use it for short sentences so it's not too bad. Wonder if there is a way to do it using expressions/scripts

Plugins make the workflow way too efficient to not use them. All the effects themselves can be done using no plugins. Only plugins used in the video are just for convenience, which is the best way to use plugins.
After extracting the shapes, and then keyframing the "Paths" and clicking on the shape layer, and then the path for it -- it does not show me the edges where I can adjust them not like what you have on video. This is for effect #10. I need help

The ones I use are from a film burn asset pack. You can make them yourself. Might have to make a video on that
if you set the initial text aligned to the left, the decompose text script will get the position right from the get go

I don’t understand how you do the hand writing animation. I did everything. My problem is that the red line I made moves in but the white text never goes away so all I’ve done is key framed a separate image of that makes sense
Is the path on a separate layer? Did you set the track matte to the correct layer? Feel free to send me a video/screenshot to my socials and I’ll have a look

Yessir! It’s a paid plugin. You can get it from aescripts

Thanks, but on the Counter example, why am I getting a "Math is not defined" error when I type "Math.round(....) like you did?. The rest of it works, thanks!
That's a good question. Usually it's either because math has a lower case "M", which needs to be capitalised. Or sometimes theres a rogue parentheses. It should look something like this Math.round(effect("Slider Control")("Slider"))

Did the bounce expression not work for anyone else? I checked mine against his and it looks exactly the same, but I see no change in motion.

Would have been nice if you could have mentioned all the plug-in's you're using in the beginning mate
I mention them the first time I use them. Decompose text at 0:36 and Motion tools at 5:47. Only one I don't specifically mention by name is Flow. The panels are visible first time I use them
How you extract shapes from text layer?
First right click on the text layer to convert to shapes. From there I use motion tools because it’s faster. Otherwise, you can duplicate the layer and delete the unwanted letters from each layer so you only have one letter per layer

the blurry reaveal isnt working for me at all the animation dont work
Hard to tell why without seeing. Sometimes I forget to click off the opacity parameter and back on the source text before applying the blur effect. That could be why.
bruh when u said extract all text shapes where the f and how are we supposed to know when you just randomly clicked something and extracted it

If you will use a *Plugin* to create text animation, beg your pardon but it worths nothing to me. It is more important for me to see how these effects are created with the help of Adobe After Effects own user interface. Overall, it looks good.
