Surprisingly, I chose B for both the songs. The Sony really outshined the cambridge here. Rated and 100w at 8 ohms, it is really putting out 97wpc when tested by ASR. A truly great amp for so little money. And it can make the hard to drive Metas sound more dynamic. Amazing.

These comparisons are going to make some more expensive amp and speaker makers unhappy, but should make Sony and Wharfedale very happy!

As with the Audiolab, the Sony holds its own, with fuller and punchier bass and mids, and clearer and crisper mids and highs, at least to my ears. The Cambridge may have slightly more detail, but I still prefer the overall presentation from the Sony. And, this is even more surprising, since the LS50 has a reputation of being hard to drive, and needing a beefy amp to sound its best. This little Sony seems to be the buy of the decade in good sounding and affordable amplification.

@@eprojectEllie I'm using an HP laptop and Sennheiser HD424 headphones, but my Sennheisers are hard to drive and my laptop by itself doesn't have enough output for a decent volume level, so I'm using some small Logitech powered speakers with a headphone jack as a headphone amp, and I plug the Logitechs into the headphone out on my laptop, and then I plug the Sennheisers into the headphone jack on the Logitechs, which then mutes the sound from the speakers and sends it to the headphones only

The Sony sounds great! But the Cambridge does sound a bit better... But not 5x better

I would suggest comparing Sony STR DH190 with Denon PMA 800NE. Great channel!

I agree with the general consensus of comments here for sure. It's close. I think the Sony is more lively and revealing of some midrange detail, but the Cambridge has a creamier sound and a more fluid texture. These sound differences are really small...and the price difference isn't as small.

These comparison videos are addicting. Any chance of doing a comparison of the Sony STR DH190 vs Yamaha R-S202?

The Sony is fine for Pop and Rock music, here the Cambridge is only slightly better.

😳😳😳Sony Bravo surtout 3 x moins chère... Cambridge déçu du moins avec la paire de Kef mais reste un bon son.

I think at this point the mike may be a bottleneck. Also the test track does not seem to be audiophile quality with use of auto tune and heavy synths. Just not many sharp bends in the music to pick up the resolution differences.

Creo q la diferencia se apreciaria en vivo ya que cxa61 de seguro entregue el sonido con mas fuerza con mas punch
