- Her voice is just so strong, I wanted to do the orchestral version of Hirari Hirari with her, and I also played with the vsq a little bit! I hope you enjoy it.

i never heard of solaria before stumbling onto this song but oh my GOD this is so good !!! i legit was on the verge of a panic attack before hearing this and it was so good that it just totally derailed my spiraling thoughts while i was listening to it

If I was Miku, I'd be trembling in my futuristic diva shoes knowing Solaria and SynthV are there. Seriously it's crazy how good SynthV is, plus your tuning really fits the orchestral version.
I have a question though. How much work does it take to make a good cover of a song, like this one, compared to the amount of work it would take to make the same cover with a vocaloid? And with the same amount of time spent on tuning, would SynthV outclass vocaloid in almost all instances

tbh, it doesn't take a ton of work, I would say it's a matter of tinkering a lot with the AI tuning process, and then adjusting where it sounds awkward. As amazing as the AI tuning can be, unfortunately it has a habit of going really flat or sharp on some notes, especially when the singing style is really intense or strong like this one. Aside from that, the biggest challenge for me has always been the mixing and editing of the song itself; bringing the voice and the instrumental together.
this one took me, in total, probably two or three weeks because A) it's a long version B) it's a lot of intense singing and C) trying to balance the voice with the music is something I just don't have an ear for...
the voice itself is awesome, but i also added effects on it, which is something to take into consideration!! I used a compressor tool, equalizer and reverb to really draw the voice out and make it fit into the tone of the instrumental, and even then I feel like there's more I could do, you know??
it's absolutely worth the learning process, and not only that, but i REALLY recommend doing this with Synthesizer V; it's incredibly accessible, the learning curve isn't steep, and if you're someone who doesn't have a lot of time that you can dedicate to becoming a god tier tuner, using the AI and being able to clean it up after the fact is a huge factor in why I love it. I can be a hobbyist and still be able to put out covers I want to, like this!

@@sv02chiyo Thank you for the developed answer. It really helps because information like this isn't shared that much I think. I really appreciate all the work you put into this song then. I hope you're proud. Me and a friend are interested in covering songs with software, but we're both busy and so far we've only really considere doing it with Miku and Luka. Two classic vb, but they don't sound clear and we're both helpless rookies.

@@tomrio9152 ik your comment is old, but synthv comes with a free version that has free ('lite') voicebanks! i never had the time or money to learn vocaloid, and utau was too difficult for me, but synthv is fairly easy to get the hang of. im still nowhere near publishing a cover, but i've learned a decent bit of the program. :)

This genuinely just altered the chemical composition of my brain; this is so much more than ethereal. I can't even begin to find the vocabulary to describe how emotionally moving this was.
It's not even just the instrumental or the voice itself -- like I've listened to countless songs by various people using SOLARIA, but none of them have made me feel even close to this way. Your personal tuning played such a big role in this.
Brought me to tears.... I've listened to this song for years, but this version, it really has the impact I always heard be so clear.
