If I remember right, last void he had numbers that were really low (like 7 hours investigating) and stuff like that, so he had a history influencing his opinion (unless I’m completely misremembering).

IMHA is such a rollercoaster. After my cat was diagnosed with it, her red blood cell count got better then worse then better then worse for at least a couple of months. She ended up on lots of steroids and chemo drugs to get it in check, and the vet prepared us for how uncertain the future was for her.
But this was over three years ago now, and she’s still here, happy and healthy and stable on a very low steroid dose. So even if Prim gets worse again, don’t give up hope. It’s a nightmare of an illness but it can absolutely be beaten!
Does anyone else think the ghosts giggling sounds like Gem, and the players dying sounds like Grian?
I've been surprised for ages that neither of them have ever pranked the others with it but maybe I'm just the only one that hears it 😂

I thought for ages that the coughing sound when Impulse mutes and unmutes was Grian coughing and wondered if he was ok until I actually thought about it and Grian wasn’t even near him when it happened 😭

At 1:37:06 those mego spikes on the activity chart isn't caused by a hunt or event bc no one was in the map, a skip like that with no hunt or even means the polty used its ability and did an explosion, which causes multiple items give off emf at the same time causing a build up of emf in one go. Just a tip for identifying poltys :)

I've been super tired lately but also working on a bunch of crochet projects, so that comment about someone crocheting a cardigan while watching your vods and streams and you replying that a lot of people crochet and watch, made me get up and get my blanket to work on.

I feel like the dripfeed of information could be based on identified ghosts. When you identify a ghost, you get a piece of information about that ghost type in the debriefing.
Also, extremely happy that Scrap Mechanic is still on the horizon: I love those streams
For the doom slayed achievement, you get it if and only if you die from a demon who has hunted within the first minute of opening the front door, and it has to be the demon ability to hunt regardless of sanity. If the demon hunts within the first 60 seconds after the front door opens, you can die to it at any point during that hunt, even if it has been more than 60 seconds, and it will still count, as long as the hunt was from a demon ability. For example, if the ghost hunts at 50 seconds after the door opens, you can die to it at the end of the hunt and still get the achievement even though it's been more than 60 seconds.
awww I didn't know it had to be the ability I wldve gone to Tanglewood wished to see the ghost and walk into it haha
@@CeceliaMcCreary-vw8eu well actually, what you can do is set a custom difficulty with the monkey paw, 75% sanity, sanity drain speed at 0% and sanity pill restoration at 5% and lose items off. Take the pills and run into the house and your sanity will be at 80%, meaning the only ghosts that can hunt are a yokai only if you're talking, a thaye only if it does a single ghost event and a demon ability. (Technically onryo too, but just don't bring in any firelight). Run inside at 80% sanity and wish for activity. Being at 80% sanity and wishing for activity gives you the highest possible chance of the demon using its ability without actually letting it hunt normally. If that sounds too complicated, magstor made a video on it, and you can just check that out
1:05:34 I actually *kind of* agree with Grian on this? Although I think it's less that wikis actively ruin games, and more that because wikis exist and are almost guaranteed to be made by fans regardless of game difficulty; it's become more common for developers to sometimes uh... not really explain how to play their game.
Like, I *do* think it's really cool that each ghost has a special little quirk to make them unique, but at the same time when the harder difficulties basically require you have a good grasp of this obscure knowledge of undocumented mechanics in order to succeed, it can be a bit much. It's the kind of thing that you could *maybe* pick up on organically after playing the game for a long time, but I think it's also obscure enough that it's very easily missed if you're not actively looking for it.

The Jinn also needs to be more than 3 metres away, besides having LOS and fuse box on. While the Jinn also has normal line of sight speed build-up which even builds-up in the background while the three aforementioned criteria are met and swaps to the current build-up after one of the criteria isn't met anymore.
Prim is a type of topping where I live, so every time Imp says Prim I keep thinking he means food. Loving Primcam ❤

39:45 unless they changed it, Goryo can do face dots as long as there's no players in the room. Had it happen but that could be a bug. Only remember it happening once and confirmed it was with camera dots.
I believe Goryos cannot do face dots ever. Only through camera out of room.

The medication in this weeks challenge is a Red Herring as you can't regenerate sanity. That also renders quite some of the tarot cards useless.
If it’s Tier 3 meds, it’s just for speed, not for sanity

I like the tidbits idea a lot! However, I like the idea of special abilities not being explicitly tapked about. Maybe really really vague hints, but that's it. For example, since you were talking about the Jinn's ability "A Jinn really likes the light, it makes them happy" not the best example, but something like that. Drawing attention to what their special ability is, but through nonspecific, almost nonsensical means. Just because the whole point was to figure out the special abilities for yourself until the cheat sheet, or Insym and a few others made videos on them. Those things you can still have access to if you want them, but in game it's more like a puzzle. Just some food for thought

Unfortunately I have discovered the flashlight test does not work for myling. They played with the sounds in game and on willow street hiding in the garage you can hear footsteps everywhere in the house without the flashlight blinking
pretty sure it works as long as youre on the same floor. had the same thing happen to me on edgefield hiding in the boys bedroom. when it went downstairs the sound was like a normal ghost but upstairs it was defo myling. pretty sure i heard insym say thats why point hope is hard for myling as well, coz the floors mess with the ghost sounds

You know, with how all over the place Skizz, Grian, and when he’s playing, Scar, can be, it’s a miracle they have any communication at all.
dealing with pet's medical issues is tough. Our rescue dog we've had for about 10 years we think is about 14-16 since she was already at least 4 when we got her, and she's having a lot of medical issues. Take the time you need to take care of your pup, impulse, prim is family and family comes first. I have been loving seeing her on the vods with the puppy cam and hope she can keep recovering!

"Adobe" and "esoteric" are two words that shouldn't go in the same sentance. lol
I think that it’s part of the fun to figure out the ghost abilities and personalities for yourself… it can be irritating at times, but the quirks and minute details that don’t add up to a certain ghost are what keep the game interesting and fresh.
it is pretty fun, but also borderline impossible. You can experience a ghost's ability, like a polty explosion, but you'll just be confused. you'd have to get the polty explosion a crazy amount of times for the dots to actually connect.
and the polty explosion is a very big and visible example, with something like 'a Jinn can't touch the breaker' you could NEVER find that out on your own. Even if you were paying more attention than is realistic to something as small as breaker touches, it could always be chance

Here is how I and every person I know pronounces "badminton": badmin ton. not bad minton as seems to be what you guys were saying. The name of the sports comes from Badminton House (owned by number th duke of somewhere shire). The name probable originating in the same way as Grimsby (meaning Grims village).

I had the exact same thing happen with the weekly challenge and the myling. I was sooooo certain it wasn't a myling that i was trash talking my friend for suggesting it... and then it ended up being a myling despite hearing its footsteps from across the room.
1:36:00 if it goes up more than 5 its a polty very rarely when a ghost has emf 5 and does events around the same time as an emf 5 and it does something else on top of that can it go up to 10 without a hunt and if it goes down from 10 and back up to 10 its probably a polty
when you know what the ghost is, and have done all the objectives, I think its fine to just take salt pics, because it's not worth the time waiting around for it to interact with stuff to take pictures.

I opened this up after my 1st half hour drive bc I have a bad case of the shakes and need a phasmo vid, a bag of caramel popcorn, and a glass of mtn dew (I have bad anxiety and a bit of stigmatism and it was raining)
Edit: I took a break from the video to start on some Phasmo flashcards for myself and found the cheat sheet and used that to check the steps a couple times to help me figure it out alongside you
Myling has line of sight speed up too, I don't get the outcome of their discussion after the first weekly challenge try.
Impi crossed myling out early cause he thought the footsteps were too loud.
@@tactician6129 But they mainly talked about line of sight after the game concluded. Also a Myling quickly reaches the volume levels of other ghosts when getting closer so you won't notice any difference when just looping around a table.
The line of sight thing was about differentiating Jinn and Obake, the two remaining possibilities after Impulse (mistakenly) crossed off Myling
The Jinn can go to full line of sight speed instantly (instead of gradually) when it sees a player, and will then slow down at 3 meters from the player. (But that's only when the breaker is on, so it wouldn't help on this challenge).
As for the Myling sounds, I'm not sure the GIGS crew knows that it being described as "quiet" is somewhat misleading, and that the truth is more like "they can only be heard when they're close" without much effect on the actual sound volume when they do get close

Why i love Grians take on the need for their to he some sort of in-game tip tool to slowly teach you the game, i feel compelled to point out thay minecraft is a game that is also nearly unplayable without the internet these days
I digress. You CAN learn Minecraft through its many tutorials. But! There are some aspects that require alot of trial and error. With phas chance is super important. You don't get the chance to test a polti throw unless you're sure it's a Poltergeist
@@tactician6129 I know there used to be tutorial worlds but I didn't know they existed anymore. And I don't think they ever covered things like how to summon a wither, activate a beacon or conduit, or stuff like that.

That's true but to be fair it was always unplayable without external guidance. there used to be a tutorial world on console editions of the game but i don't think they have that anywhere anymore, and even so it didn't teach you how to actually COMPLETE the game. However it is a sandbox game so there isn't as much of a drive to do so

I could be wrong but I think the timer for the demon achievement does start in the van. I assumed it started when you unlocked the front door but the other day my friend and I got killed in 53 seconds (according to the game stats) and didn't get the achievement. So either our game was bugged, or the timer started in the van.
Hiiii, so the achievement only works if the demon uses its ability to hunt. If it was a normal hunt unfortunately the demon kill doesn't count

Pretty sure the timer starts once you step outside the van, you probably need to rush in the front door and hope the demon uses their ability at the same time.

Yeah the timer probably starts either when you open the van or when you unlock the front door. To me it makes more sense for it to start upon unlocking the door but I could see it being either way.
