I’m 47. When I was a kid my mom would make pizza exactly like you did. Pepperoni and pepperoni, onion, peppers, and pepperoni and mushroom. There were 6 of us and we loved leftovers for lunch. Your video brought back so many memories. Your kids will remember homemade pizza nights over any Christmas or birthday gift when they are grown. Those little things are what you want the most when you are grown.
I agree I’m hate to say this out loud 51 ouch and remember homemade pizza from my mom and I have grown kids and foster kiddos and we make pizza last week for spring break they all made their own with all kinds of crazy toppings ( I can get them to try new things) so much memories are attached to food ❤️💕❤️ have a great weekend-still chilly here also on Long Island NY
Today was 70 and beautiful. Tomorrow will be the same but then weather takes a turn and it drop into the 60s and rainy. This weather this year is crazy everywhere
Loved the video! When you run out of grated cheese, as you did with your cheese pizza, you can always sprinkle grated Parmesan on the sauce. I actually had a pizza like that in Italy. Although they did use pecorino Romano rather than Parmesan. I’m sure it would be tasty-just different. 🍕
It would be good if you take sausage out of the casing before you fry it up . Just a little suggestion , your pizza looked delicious . As does everything you make or bake . Thanks for great recipes always .
Good evening ACL! What a fantastic video! Thanks for the great meal ideas! Homemade pizza looks so good! Everything you made looks delicious! Thank you and God bless you and your family!🙏❤😊
Jennifer, I can't imagine a life without cranberry sauce, I have a can of cranberry sauce with every meal and I even put cranberry sauce on my toast in the morning, i'am your BIGGEST fan, I adore cranberry sauce!
Add seasoned salt and some red pepper spice to those green beans along with everything else. You’ll love them. Take care! And I use your pizza crust recipe all the time. We love it.
Love your videos.. Watch Every one.. One tip on the sausage.. cut the casing and the sausage will come out ground.. therefore you can have more to go around the 🍕.. Love You Guys!!
I always enjoy your videos, especially when you make recipes from your cookbook. It’s like delicious, real life illustrations of all the recipes I have marked to try😉. Thanks for all the work you put into sharing with all of us!!❤️
You know...I have a couple of skinless brats hanging out in the freezer. I think I will slice those up and sauté them with some of the Portesi pizza seasoning and make a pizza for supper tomorrow night! I'm going to use your pizza crust recipe as well. I would have never thought to put brats on a pizza until you did it in this video. I think I'll add some peppers and onions as well. Great video, and great meal ideas!!
Have you made the cranberry jello desert, that mixes whole berry sauce with a large package of raspberry jello and then topped when set with a cream cheese, vanilla and powdered sugar "icing"? Its so yummy! Another variation was adding crushed pretzels and then the cream cheese frosting.
Great video as always…love how you take the time to explain little details to give new homemakers more confidence. I’m thinking it’s time to write a detailed cookbook of favorites for our sons, spouses ,grandchildren …so many things I make , even if I use a recipe, I add, subtract ,do things not in the recipe and my kids always say “I tried it and it didn’t come out like yours…”
I just want you to know that I really enjoyed all of your videos. I am almost 70 years old and I remember my mother making pan pizzas 🍕 and if she was short on the ingredients he would always make us English muffin pizzas thank you for bringing back the family I may even try and make English muffin pizzas for my grandchildren
I wish that I could get my pizza dough to come out like yours!! Mine is always too puffy!! I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I've got to improve it!! Have a great rest of the week!!
Jennifer I just love watching you cook and bake you are a wonderful Mother and I love watching Warren with the Children also you 2 are a blessing to me and so many 🙏🏻☮️✝️📿🙏🏻☮️✝️🇺🇸📿🇺🇸❤️💜💗💕🌹🌷
Something is on my mind for a very while now. I live at Hungary, my salary is 630$ a month after tax (and its safe to say, its not the worst that it could be, I know people who live from way less, but Im alone, so I have no one to share the expenses with). My rent and bills (which is a very small studio in a small village, for very "cheap") are around 400$ a month. If we try to argue with anyone, that its very hard to have a life here, in middle Europe from a normal salary, or compare how little money we have to budget to survive, the answer is always: "yes sure, your salary is very low, but the cost of living is also very low too, so dont complain". Then I see videos, where people share their hauls and groceries, and I see this: a big jar (24oz) marinara could be around 1$ in the US, a smaller jar (cheapest, 18 oz) here is 1.28 $ 1.25$ for a 567 g pasta, here its 1.91$ for a 500g bag (cheapest option right now) And its same with all the food or household items. Everything. I think I should start to think about moving seriously.
When all of my children were young we would do a make your own pizza night. They thought it was such a big deal to have their very own pizza. I used small cake pans
Hi Jennifer. Always love having dinner with the Brockmans! Tip-when I cut my homemade pizzas, I use kitchen shears! Usually, I use the Hot Roll Mix for my pizza dough but I think I am going to try your recipe the next time I make pizza. Hugs and blessings.
I recognized the Geiss brats from Merrill, WI! We have them make venison brats and jerky from our trimmings every year. Delicious! Hope you all have a blessed day 💕
I'm going to try a new pizza crust recipe this week. Miss Lori from Whippoorwill hollow did a video with a pizza crust that is liquid when you put it in the pan and it makes a wonderful thin and crispy crust. I'm going to try it and I will let you all know how it is for us. I have been doing my crust like you do for years, but I am just not a bread eater so if the crust gets thick I don't like it.
When you do that green bean dish again, try adding a tablespoon of powdered chicken bouillon, my favorites are Mazola chicken bouillon, which is very hard to find, but its closest match was Consomé in the Jewish section at Kroger and a large spoonful of regular mayo. Kroger also has an "Extra Green" can of green beans, that are spectacular. Haven't seen these anywhere else.
Loved the video and the dinners! I’m from East, Tennessee. I make my green beans very similar to the way you made them. That’s how I grew up eating them, delicious! 😊 God bless.
Jenn. Here’s the thing. I get so frustrated with my method of rolling, I seriously don’t know how? Bigger space ? Lack of rolling pin practice now that the kids have grown 🤣🤣😎 🍻can you maybe do an easy slow rolling pin method. My mom was an excellent baker, it takes a lot of patience to teach, I was the last of 8 kids. Patience was all used up lol poor woman. Anyway, Tks and a vid on that oh so appreciated :) ❤️🇨🇦
I made your epic brownies today. They didn’t get that nice glossy top like yours. Not sure why, as they were on the middle rack. But they were dang delicious, none the less!
We have a bunch of children also therefore I would’ve sliced that sausage a lot thinner lol and stretched it to make it go farther lol 😁
Sometimes I will prep like 6 batches of pizza dough and just put in the the freezer. It’s so nice to pull out and make homemade pizzas fast!
