I watch every Phillies game, This guy is seriously incredible. He played 8-10 games hurt last year (heading to Pittsburgh later in the season his back was seriously a mess) played through it and could hardly field or swing the bat and still won MVP. His dedication to the team is incredible.

I haven’t watched Phillies baseball since like 2011 this dude has brought me back into the game. He makes this team exciting again. So dynamic and the kind of guy who thrives in philly. Philly fans expect the best players or else you get booed out of town. He has had high expectations ever since he entered this league and lives up to it and more. MVP

He was overrated they said. He was getting overpaid they said. He was not getting mvp with that average they said. I am a dodgers fan but I can do this all day.

I'm with you on where you're going with this and I agree. Bryce Harper was hyped up SO much prior to getting drafted that no matter what he ever does as a pro, it'll never be quite enough.
People, including myself, often forget how good Bryce Harper is. I wouldn't mind having Harper for the simple fact that I believe he CARES about winning. When you have high profile guys who actually WANT to win like Harper, it should rub off in theory and force the club ownership/management to always be relevant each year.

So so glad we got Bryce instead of Manny. All he does is hit HR’s and doubles. Plus his will to win is matched by no one. Yeah he came here for the money, but he’s also given this city something to cheer for. Put the Phillies back on must see TV. And in a city that’s pretty much run by the Eagles, he’s single handedly brought the Phillies back to the table. I can’t say enough good things about this guy. So glad he’s here and hope he finishes his career here.

3:15 Something crazy people, I made the dumbest deal of that night. I took my uncle, brother and his wife, and 2 of my nephews to this game. As you can see, the Phillies was up by 4 in the 7th inning. My nephews were crying saying that the want to go get some sleep because they just got off the flight from Orlando. I was mad at that because me and my uncle just got off a flight from Honolulu that same day and we was tired as well, but we wanted to watch the entire game. So, when Bryce Harper came up to bat, I made a deal with them. If Bryce hits a homerun this at bat, we can go home. Know and behold, this happens 3:16!! On the first pitch no less. I couldn't believe I called that homer. Well, I'm a man of my word. We left the game after he went around the bases.

Bryce Harper is one of the best ball players I have ever seen. I didn't care much for him when he was in Washington. Ohh yeah am a big big Phillies fan since I was born. I used to walk to Connie Mack stadium in the 60s with my dad and brothes. But when he had his first press conference after signing the contract. The shit he said change everything I thought of him. And if that pitcher didn't break his thumb and he ended up missing a couple of months. He would have got mvp again. I never seen anyone like him. He hit a ball and it looks like a single. But he turns into another speed and he is at second base that fast. I think the Phillies should win a couple world series with him. And I was 21 years old when the Phillies won in 80 I watched Mike Schmidt and Pete rose and they were great I mean Pete the greatest hitter I have ever seen. Mike Schmidt the greatest third baseman to ever play the game. And would hit 3 home runs a game like it was nothing. Bryce Harper is right there with those two. I just hope I get to see him win the world series here in Philly cause like everyone who has experienced a championship parade for any sport in Philadelphia. Saids the same thing I want to do again here. cause they never seen anything like it. When the FLYERS won the first cup in 73-74 I was downtown for the parade and there was over 2 million people at that one. It took them 3 hours to get to Independence Hall from South Philly. A 15 minute drive. cause there was to many people to get the car's with the FLYERS through the crowds on broad Street. Just Google it and you will see what I mean. It was a sea of people. That's way players want to win it all in Philadelphia we appreciate hard work. Even if you lose just show us and give us hard work. It's want we do everyday at our job for a few bucks a day so if we are paying to watch them and they get millions they fucking better give us their all. Like Bobby Clark the hardest player I have ever seen in my life. Blood pouring down his face and he just kept on going now that's a great player.

He's the most valuable player because he nearly drug his team to the playoffs. Baseball is an incredible team sport. You can have the best player on your team and not win anything.
His lack of playoff highlights this year was just being on a mediocre team. His team had no business being in that playoff Chase, he made them be in it.
The fact that Philadelphia was only eliminated from the playoff hunt in the last week was entirely Bryce Harper's fault.

In his first game as a Phillie back in 2019, he went 0 for 3 with a walk. However, we heard more about that walk than anything else that happened during that game, including the grand slam hit right after that walk, by Reese Hoskins.

Would you agree that Philadelphia had no business being in that playoff chase? They would not have been close except for what Bryce Harper did.
The guy consistently puts up over 30 home runs and 100 runs batted in per season. His batting average goes up and down sometimes, but he always walks a lot, always gets on base a lot, drives in a lot of runs, helps his team win.
