HOW TO USE A STAR CHART or ATLAS WITH YOUR TELESCOPE

When I first started out as an amateur astronomer I was completely confused about how to match a star chart or star atlas to the sky and as a result had a very hard time finding objects in the night sky with my manual telescope mount. In this video I will explain exactly how to match your star chart or star atlas to the sky. I will explain how to determine how much of the sky you can see with your finder scope and with your telescope, how to determine the orientation of your finder scope and telescope, and how to use that information to make finding objects in the night sky with your telescope fast and easy to do.
