Great exercise to do with the wishlist on goodreads (or somewhere else, because I am considering leaving it in favour for The Story Graph). Because my list is so incredibly long, so there's no way I will ever be able to read even half of them. I'm not even able to make any real progress with my actual tbr, because I'm always adding more books than I read. And it's not getting better, because after watching your video I added two more books to my wishlist! 😉
i have the same thing of keeping the number of books on my GR TBR less than the Read ones - watching this vid hasn't helped 😠 latitudes of longing sounds wonderful and a luminous republic has me intrigued. ✨
I really like this idea for a video! good luck with these! and oh yes I am familiar with books languishing on my TBR list for so long that I forget about them, haha
This makes me so happy to hear! Some other sort of "nature-y" books that I had on my list include: Dyschronia by Jennifer Mills Ghost Species by James Bradley The Octopus and I by Erin Hortle and Talking Animals by Joni Murphy!
You could make a "TBR jar" which contains slips of paper with the names of these books on them. It would act as a physical reminder of your TBR and you can be artistic with the slips of paper as well as taking them out when you've read them.
I can totally see why these books are in your priority list! They all sound so brilliant! Latitudes of Longing definitely made it onto my wishlist IMMEDIATELY :P I definitely need to read more Australian fiction, especially since we almost lived in Australia xD I actually have Natural History on my wishlist! Waitl, did I hear about it from you?! xD I gotta take a closer look at your to-read list and see what sparks my curiosity!!
Haha, yes it was lovely re-familiarising myself with them!! Ugh Latitudes of Longing sounds SO GOOOOD. I'm not sure if you heard about Natural History from me but it sounds totally up your street so I'm not surprised you've got it on your own list.
Animals in that Country sounds so interesting. I would like to read it eventually but not something I am inclined to read in the present climate! I would be interested to hear what you think about the book when you do get to read it.
I have some books to recommend that I hope you would check out Matthew and the first one is called eco gothic by Hilary Cunningham schraper and the second one is called Kay concepts in the gothic by William Hughes and there is also the Victorian gothic by Andrew smith and there is also horrifying sex by Ruth bienstock anolik and there is also men in love masculinity and sexuality by George haggerty George has other books that I highly recommend but can’t say there name because the all have the q word in them and TH-cam does not like the q word

Totally understandable! Hopefully I will be able to get to it soon enough and will definitely keep you updated!
