    A great training aid, I was amazed to see a cut-away of a radial aircraft engine at the Curtiss museum, also used for ww2 mechanics, it really adds a lot to mechanical prints.

    If there is not dirt, debris, or a burr in the locking area or the muzzle booster (the barrel is a precision fit into the booster) then it is likely that the breach locking block is in backwards. It is one of the few ways to put the gun together incorrectly.

    I know Omaha Surplus in Fort Worth used to have one of these hanging from the ceiling.
    additionally...using oversized models for instructional purposes used to a rather common theme. I used to own a 7 foot functional slide rule that I acquired when the restaurant it was decorating wanted to get rid of it (eventually sold it to someone writing a book about collecting slide rules) it was original manufactured for teaching grade school children how to do math with slide rules. back before the pocket calculator.

    The barrel is screwed too far into the barrel extension and thus the head space is too tight for the gun to close. That is why the chamber cut out is not facing the opening properly as it should if it was correctly head spaced.

    • @ForgottenWeapons
      @ForgottenWeapons  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That was my initial assumption, but on inspection it seemed that something inside the bottom of the receiver was preventing the locking block from traveling freely.

      Joachim Elmesiöö They don't take that long to strip down or to reassemble. I'm trying to remember how long it took the last time I did it but I don't exactly recall. But probably 20 minutes or less to get it all apart but that is not stripping the trigger group or bolt or top cover into individual pieces.

    • @ForgottenWeapons

    Funny thinking about a few things relating to this gun's scale, the real one fires 30-06 I believe, and 50 BMG is basically just a scaled up 30-06 so this thing's theoretical cartridge is basically a slightly larger 50 BMG.

      if it's a 200% gun, it'd be 1 caliber.

    This thing was a pig at 1/1. WAY more than an M-60 ever could be. At 2/1, it's a BIG PIG!

    Don't you have a video of the BAR version of this ? Or that was a different manufacturer/"tool" ??

    Now you need to buy it and do a "field strip" video.
