Hello, was just wondering how do you control mosquitoes especially in the raft system. From where im from mosquitoes are a terrible pest. Thank you. Fan from the philippines.

What is the minimum height of the raft tank? (Not the fish tank)

You would have to build a caged root system. That means deeper tanks but it could be done. The thing is, in my view, you are limiting the area and amount you could grow as far as vegetables. If you aren't interested in eating the fish and growing a lot of veggies then a fish tank system could be workable. But for a larger system tank and separate grow areas are the best option.

Well definitely not tilapia, but small predator fish for snails and ornamental fish for zooplankton, leeches and worms?

The only time I can think of using a raft IN the tank is when/if you want more surface area to grow azolla or duckweed to SUPPLEMENT the fish diet. Take a raft, cut out a frame, take another raft, cut out the same size frame, then glue/silicone them together with a net between the two (being sure to create a pocket) to keep the fish out of said raft.
I said "supplement" their diet, not as a feed source. Don't hurt me guys...🤣
