Funny watching your videos as my P5B in Melbourne has followed a very similar set of works over the past 9 months to recommission after having only done 16K miles in the past 29years

Another great video of a lovely car. My uncle was a chauffer to the boss of Ferranti electronics in the 70's and I remember he had a P5B coupe that I used to love then and I still love 'em now. Looking forward to your other vids as yet unedited. Cheers.

I’m in awe of your beautiful P5b. That passed half hour. Enjoyed the video. Was a bit worried that you didn’t cover the offside wing to begin with though. Had this horrible thought of you spilling brake fluid over the wing. It’s great that you dedicate your time and effort in keeping her on the road. She is one beautiful Rover. Stay safe and we’ll look forward to watching the edited videos this winter. 😊

Hello there loving your videos as I have a p5b saloon in the same colour couldn't help noticing on the oil change section that your sump gasket is sticking out

I don't think the greasing of the sliding prop shaft would have achieved much to be honest! The nipple is there to service the sliding spline so you should have seen old grease being displaced from the screw cap which should also be undone whilst greasing. The hardy spicer UJ would have had its own nipple if it was serviceable. The correct spanner for the sump plug is 13/16" AF ( we don't want any metric near a Rover!) Also, a good idea to half fill the oil filter with oil before replacement so that the engine is not starved of oil for a few seconds and also helps to prevent the possibility of the pump not priming. Definitely NOT a good idea to rev the engine after starting!

Leave the grease! It’s protecting the underside.
