The Raiders had a solid draft. Add that to the free agent addition, plus, tons of D/O line men and a couple of WRs during the UDFAs. The O/D line should be solid for whomever is at QB. CB and Safety have good backup competition. Controlling the ball offensively and having a nasty defense......I'm loving it.
Beane's been good drafting on the offensive side of the ball in the first 3 rounds. Cook, Knox, Brown, Torrence, Kincaid & of course Allen. He's been more mixed with early defensive picks, so I'm optimistic about Coleman

My preference: Redraw the 32 teams into 8 division of 4 each year. Could become a new event in the NFL calendar. See draw events in “soccer” (football), World Cup or Champions League - highly anticipated events. Could even seed it similarly so the perceived better teams avoid each other. Improving the chances of having better playoff games. Go to an 18 games season. 6 games vs your new division, then 12 vs 4 teams in 3 other division. Also drawn randomly. Roger wants this! If you have to keep the legacy AFC and NFC then do the above but redraw the teams in those two conferences into 4 divisions of 4. Still 18 games but the 3 divisions for the 12 games are just the other teams in your conference. The current NFL schedule setup with intra-conference games, just stinks of these being a legacy issue really so I’d get rid of them. 3rd change: As per change 1, no priority for division winners, top 14 teams (I’d make it 16) using record. Very likely casual racism? You mean historically accurate assessment? Based on the complete, not just nearly complete, but complete lack of white starting cornerbacks in the NFL, for over 20 years. It’s a pretty safe bet to make that Cooper DeJean will be, at his very best, a starting safety in the NFL. Not sure if you noticed, but the safety free agency market was dead this year. It was equally dead in the draft. That’s what happened to make DeJean drop. Coaches don’t just look at the guys skin tone and assume he can or can’t do something. They look at his physical traits and his film and let his body of work speak for itself. This is what his dictated his value to be.
