IB is cool as shit, but she was way off way she said Fiorenza was “way smarter” than Victor. For him him to survive all of this shit, not being able to shoot, or fight at all, takes a lot of smarts, as especially ascending as a Baron as an Anarch Ventrue. Fiorenza is cold as hell, but considering the mortal world consciousness of that clan, Victor’s ascent to me is far more impressive and took plenty of smarts.
I'm loving the whole yin and yang aesthetic going on with Jasper and Eva.
It definitely adds to the adorableness.

I started playing RPG's since 1980 and I've played once with a GM who was in his league. He was an RPGA DM running a tournament module at Dragoncon in Atlanta. Jason is fabulous.

@@thegaspatthegateway you didn't play Bloodlines, right? Imalia was a selfish and vain ultra popular supermodel before he embraced her, which he did as a messed up punishment of sorts. She is still obsessively hateful against beautiful women, so I would think it more appropriate that she would try to ruin Nelli's line, and that Golden does it as a form of mockery, not to make her happy. Although, as I have been saying, this show is really softcore WoD, so it wouldn't surprise me if they went with the "loving father" approach on this...

Let's talk about Ib. Fiorenza pretty much made it clear that Ib has been planted as an agent and was the source of the two dominated mortal messengers.
It seems that Fiorenza (who is very high up in the Camarilla) has an agenda of re-establishing order, even if it means detente in LA between the Camarilla and the Anarchs.
Fiorenza also told Victor: "those whom the gods wish to destroy, they first drive mad".

Playing an Exec inspired by Fiorenza in a cyberpunk Red game. I think she's been playing 3d chess this whole time. I think her end goal was always to restructure the Camarilla from the inside. In has been her ghoul for the past 100 years, and now she's all "Ms. Independent"? I don't think so she's still loyal to Fiorenza. And while it is true that Ib may not like the chaos of the Anarchs, I'm sure she doesn't like the close and old minded thinking of the Cam.
Fiorenza proposed Victor challenge Vannevar's throne. But I can also guess that Fiorenza has likely eenin the ear of other kindred, the Barons and the Camarilla, she probably even had a chat with Therese. At best, Fiorenza is an Inconnu "industry plant". At worse,Fiorenza wanted both the Camarilla and Anarchs to rethink how they operate.
@@owohscorner Isn’t Fiorenza too young to have been Ib’s regent for 100 years? I thought she had been embraced around the same time as Victor, and was just competent and also experienced enough from her mortal life to essentially do a speedrun up the Camarilla ladder.
Jasper's complete adoration and excitement at Eva's power is everything. I don't think I have loved a vampire couple so much since the first time I saw Spike and Drusilla on Buffy.
Check out Adam & Eve in Only Lovers Left Alive (a slow film, but an amazing one), but yes. That is the face of a proud boyfriend.

Just go ahead and make Eva a member of the main cast she's practically in every episode anyway and she adds such an interesting dynamic to the coterie especially with her history with Strauss and relationship with Jasper.
should not have touched her man, Eva is a ride or die woman, in this case the dying was done by Rodrigo. Also, just love Josephine's acting, a treasure as always, would love nothing better than her becoming a regular cast member.

She knew she could do this, but she didn't want to do it & at the same time she knew she had to be the one to do it. Strauss abused her so much & made her think her Sire was dead for 40 yrs or More. She just wanted her Freedom and Strauss is trying to take that away from her or worse and if Strauss can change Katya to be the Opposite of what she was the last time Eva saw her, then he could forcably change Eva that way too.
It's too bad that Jason didn't describe the Wirlwind that was blowing around Eva when she started Zeus' Fuary

@@DragonmasterCire he is not only a ww employee, he is the manager of the intellectual property of the WoD - which is held by Paradox Entertainment in its entirety now. So: he is already a employee of Paradox, basically the whole tabletop rpg now is kinda part of the publicity outreach for bloodlines 2, awkwardly enough.
I have a feeling the only reason Jason Carl hasn't gotten an actor to play mr golden is because he loves playing the character so much XD

its somewhat of a sore spot I guess. On the one hand side it makes for great storytelling to bring in the extra chaos of Sabbath (the old LA by night book had GREAT storylines about Mohammed al-Muthlin and his gang the Sons of the Crypt) - but Jason Carl IS WoD and they decided to can the Sabbat altogether in V5.
So it probably is the struggle: to contradict the strategy that V5 took with the Metaplot, only a few years and only 6 books in for the sake of a chronicle thats supposed to promote the new V5?
Don't get me wrong, I get the reasoning behind the Sabbats Exodus. They tried to make V5 more about the struggle to keep the masquerade in a world of NSA, digital footprints and literally hundreds of cameras around you every damn moment. War ghouls and pillaging tzimisce don't go well with that.

interesting The North American and German releases contain different edits of the episodes. The German episodes are longer and not censored. This is also how the show was originally broadcast in the respective regions.

In the story it makes perfect sense that Annabel is not here, after all, apart from clarifying things with Mark, it is her duty as leader to spend a long time with the Valkyries and Ramona for their losses.

I know it’s kind of a gag that Imalia may be repulsive and the coterie makes fun of the fashion show stuff. But I think Golden is aware that Imalia is... repulsed by herself due to her clan. And I think Golden is being very sweet to try and give her a sense to feel beautiful. And I think Imalia is envious of Nelli in this sense- and really just wants the approval of her, or at least some thought that a Toreador may find her designs beautiful? I think nelli, if she can find it in herself, to really embrace the opportunity to warm over Imali it could do well for the Coterie. I also think it could be a really beautiful and warm moment for the two, in an attempt to feel
Humanity again. Granted i understand it’s all just angles to be played but I think there could be a genuine moment between the two. Even if Nelli finds Imalias designs disgusting, I think if she really tries and finds it in herself to be genuine with Imalia and get pssed her nosferatu appearance and enjoy the chance at maybe designing with her, it could build a seriously good relationship and be a really nice moment.
Or maybe I’m just ranting and being a fool. Either way, I’d love to see it.

Jason Carl never fails to impress me with his amazing ability to not only tell an extremely compelling story, but to also populate the story with a myriad of wonderfully voice acted NPC's 🙂.

I have to say, I'm glad we're getting more Eva in this season, she's a great character and her acting is just on point.
Between Josephine and Alex, both of their acting and mannerisms/facial expressions really steal the show every time they're on screen, I love it!
Also their relationship is rather interesting, can't wait to see where it goes

I love watching them remain in character even when they're not actively role playing. Like when Nelli was healing; Jasper starts heaving and wheezing then Eva begins comforting him while Kasey has a mental breakdown.
Eva is my favorite guest, I hope she can be a full time cast member because I always enjoy her interacting with Jasper and everyone else. That Zeus bit was awesome!!!

At this point, I automatically relax whenever Eva makes a roll involving Blood Sorcery. Don’t think she’s failed one yet. The Zeus’s Fury FX were amazing too. I know if I’d have been giddy at the opportunity to unleash those. Makes me wonder what other neat effects have yet to be used.

Yeah, same here, I was sure nothing can surpass the Critical Role in my books, but this did it. Maybe not by lengths for me, but still surpassing it. I haven't been this hooked, I can't remember when.
One Jason rocks as Gary though I wonder does he like playing Isaac more.
Two the way Nelli and Victor play that Awe gets alot of use are we going for use Awe so many times get a free presence upgrade.

Negotiating with werewolves is like negotiating with the inquisition.
Those who belong to the Garou Nation will destroy any leeches if they don't have a more pressing enemy to eliminate. They can tell the Garou where other Kindred enemies live but if they arrive in the territory they will seek to destroy all who can without caring about vampire sects. All vampires are Wyrm spawns for them.
Those who belong to the Black Spiral Dancers do work with vampires since they are corrupt but their behavior is more in accordance with the Sabbat.

Speaking of which, one of my favorites guides to the World of Darkness, is a Malkavian antitribu who sits on the Board of Directors in Pentex.
While true for the most recent edition, White Wolf is working on a new Werewolf game and I'd say Jason has access to some materials we do not on the upcoming book(s)... And even then, everything is open to interpretation by a storyteller anyway. Some leeches trying to, say, protect something like the leylines while another group may be trying to seize them... Well, it'd not be a terribly firm truce, but it'd be a reason to put aside hostilities for sure.

Ok. I agree. The apperance of Bone Gnawer before kinda scared me... For Garou and Vamps working together... Dude. Licks are anathema to the Garou... Just Ask Striders feelings toward Vamps... Or Get... Or Talons... Not even the Children would work with Vamps. And changing that would be changing the cery concept od WtA itself.

Again - awesome job, Mr. Carl how can you be so prepared for every single situation your players come up with? I master VtM since the first edition, but even I cant think of every single situation my players come up with so far in advance...darn, I learn with every episode. Thank you so much!
I believe they have a loose canvas of what is going to happen, somehow... either that, or the players are much more "disciplined" than the average table ;)
Let me start of by saying that there's NOTHING WRONG with scripting stuff like this, it is probably one of the reasons it works so well in regards to entertaining us.
But really, there shouldn't be any doubt about the show being somewhat scripted :) There's a lot of "loose" moments where the dice can change the scene a lot. But there's pretty clearly outlined scenes that has been set up in advance or it wouldn't work like it does.
I've played at and run tables where we do this as well; we are more interested in getting to play the scenes everyone wants to play instead of organically getting there. But mostly we play more chaotic, "regular" really, games and in those it's pretty hard to get the same results but they are enjoyable to play for different reasons.
So PLEASE don't beat yourself up over not having as clear a grasp on what your players want to do, in those types of games being able to improvise is really the only thing you should concern yourself with, trying to anticipate rarely goes well ^^
If you do want to try out the style presented here in LABN you need to have a group of players who want to and are able to double their time investment, because it's just as important to prepare for the next session as it is to bring your RP A-game to said session :)
@@Micras08 there is loose but it is primarily not scripted, they just let Jason know their intention in advance when they have plans. Like the story did a 180 when Jasper killed Sheriff Marcus.

Just a sip would have been enough to start learning those powers IIRC. That would make Jasper somewhat "thinner" on the sheet as wide builds are rarely effective, but man, do shadow powers scale well with obfuscate.
