Iconic, bold, versatile and with a career like no other! Modeling wouldn't be the same without the woman.
I like that little story she shared about Linda Evangelista. The influence that Linda has on fashion designers is one of a kind, a rare thing for models. Only then you can be called a 'Supermodel' when you can influence powerhouse highfashion designers. It's true also when she said that the camaraderie of models nowadays isn't the same as how it was during 90s Supermodels. A lot of the new models now would chase after mainstream media popularity rather than working hard in putting a stamp in both commercial & high fashion. No one is distinct than the other also, everyone's almost the same.

She is the most dynamic supermodel on the runway, no one comes close. She has surpassed her peers...Linda, Christy, and Cindy as far as shelf life. She is still working, and has now branched out into acting (movies and TV).

Hmm. I don't know much about Paulina but I was introduced to her through ANTM, when she was a judge (I know, sad). She seemed to be more of an 80s model than 90s despite being the same age as Linda Evangelista. In ANTM she always seemed to have the bitchiest comment to say of the girls' pictures, but normally I would agree with her. She had more experience in high fashion than Tyra, who, in the words of Janice Dickinson, did Elle while the other models like Janice and Paulina did Vogue. But from what I've researched, she seems to have been viewed more as a Sports Illustrated model, though she seemed to have broken that mold with some lucrative contracts with Estee Lauder and Escada. I remember seeing a late 80s Versace ad of her, Linda and Christy. Paulina was the centerpiece (literally) lying up-side-down, while Christy and Linda were on her side lying in right-side-up. I'm guessing this was when Christy and Linda were less of a big name in fashion. Anyway, do you think Paulina Porizkova helped pave the way for other Eastern European beauties in fashion, and would you say she is the biggest icon among other successful Czech models such as Eva Herzigova, Daniela Pestova, and Karolina Kurkova? Personally, I found Gia Carangi, Brooke Shields and Carol Alt to be the most beautiful models of the 80s.
Not to me, her head is big and her jaw prominent, far from perfect, for me Christy Turlington have the most pure beauty

Such beauty. I watch videos of her when I'm feeling down on myself. The attitude and confidence in that walk is unmatchable.

I don't think there's been any model who gives you the full force of their personality on the runway like Naomi. She owns and exudes her beauty and talent.
My favorite Naomi Story was her documented trip to South Africa...I think it was filmed by Douglas Keeves and he showed som many different sides of her. It was really beautiful to watch.

But her equality for black in fashion is partly questionable to me unless she would admit on how she bullied Tyra's career when shes on her way to fame. Yes we know the story of there can only be one black girl in fashion (reason). But she should have admit her mistake of inspite of bullying Tyra way back then she should have rallied with her with the advocacy. Its not late for Naomi to admit.
