Brilliant card. Came across your videos the other day and have been working my way through. You explain things so clearly and have such a calm voice..

Question for you - Btw, found you from the Cricut Summit :). I am following your step by step. I ended up with more Rays, so I deleted and started all over to understand your logic in placement. When I added a new triangle, I no longer had the rotate arrow - any idea why? If I exit and start over, I get the rotate arrow. TY

Ah awesome! Welcome to the channel!!
The arrows disappear when I alt tab out of Design Space, so its definitely a weird bug. You can get them back by clicking on images/projects and closing it again, you don't have to exit Design Space! :)
So glad you managed to make it!

How would I reverse this to make a stencil (with acetate)?

So what I did here is to use the Contour feature to remove the outside box (so it inverts the design). Then add a rectangle the same as the box, with a border, and weld it to the inverted design - make sure the edges of the box touch all of the light parts, and weld!
If I havent explained it well enough - revisit the project in the description and I have created it for you and hidden the layer in the project :)
