Good to watch how well he's doing it, how the sheep is taken care of. Glad no one was hurt. I've seen many scenes where the sheep were totally abused and some even died .. put me off shearers. But this is reassuring again. Can't be easy on the back, all the bending down and the weight of the sheep. Thanks.
Thanks Joe, it’s time we get those sheep bred so we can have lambs again. Without the pregnancy, our shearer says they are absolutely overweight. We keep them with the yearling calves and they eat well.
Is the shearer local to da UP? He makes it look easy but has to be tough on the back. Once the sheep are positioned, they are quite content, bet it's a pain getting a sheep positioned.
Yes he’s a yooper. I think the more experienced guys position the sheep just so, and follow a routine that makes the process quicker. Our overweight sheep didn’t help much either for handling. You could see him pulling fat rolls to keep the hide tight so he didn’t cut them. Absolute pro job, all three looked great at the end and didn’t have one knick or scratch.
That's quite the art form!! Cool to watch!!
Great video!!

Thanks.
Imagine how fast they could cut a persons hair. Great video!!!
Those clippers are brutal, I wouldn’t let that thing near my head. That’s what impressed me the most about this guy, not one scratch on the sheep.
Enjoyed the video

never been around sheep. bet it feels good to get that winter coat off! i know i would!
After they get sheared they head butt each other because they are re-establishing the pecking order. I think they don’t recognize each other.🤔
