There's a great guide on Reddit. There may be several! I can also give you some tips! 😊 To spot clean, I use 1 of 2 things: Either Fels Naptha laundry soap bar or a mixture of Dawn dishsoap, white vinegar, 99% rubbing alcohol, and a little warm water. I don't measure anything when making this mixtue. I just eyeball it, but I can give you approximates!: Fill your bottle ¼ of the way with Dawn. Add some warm water until the remaining empty space is now ⅓ of the way filled, then add white vinegar to the ⅔ mark (you can add less), and finally rubbing alcohol for the remaining ⅓. You may notice something that looks like crystals floating around in the solution. That won't make the solution any less effective. As you use the cleaner and the level drops down, add some more water and alcohol to further dilute. Something else you may notice is the cleaner foaming up as you add water or vinegar. Alcohol will remove the foam. After you spot clean with a cloth, you can machine wash in a laundry bag, and it should be fine, but hand washing will be the most gentle. Drying is where things can go south badly. Heat is the enemy and can wreck a Jellycat's fur. Due to this, I have never machine dried a Jellycat. I have machine dried less expensive plushies with success, though! This is how I do it: I always use a laundry bag. This keeps your plush from coming into contact with the inside of the dryer, which can cause dryer burn (melt the plush fabric/fur). The only way to fix this is to trim off the burned/melted areas. To further ensure my plushies don't get dryer burn, I stop the dryer every 5-10 minutes and brush to make sure no fur is sticking together. My favorite way to dry my plushies is a combination of a blow dryer and air drying in the sun. A huge plus is that sunlight can kill germs! Oh! I forgot to mention that white vinegar in the laundry is a natural form of fabric softener that won't wreck your dryer. Good luck with reviving your plushie buddies!!
Unrelated but I have a Snow dragon that I’m in love with but my daughter stole her and named her puff. I want to get another for me. I went to 2 Timbuk toys today and found medium onyx and medium Lavender. I didn’t get either but very tempted by the purple one. I’ve yet to see a Rose dragon but I think she may be my choice or medium sage (out of stock everywhere)! Do you have a favorite?

Do the smudges stay soft after you dye them?
