Is that a 2012 Tourismo? Since it stil has the 12 speed ZF automatic gearbox... I'm lucky enough to drive several variants of this model for the last 10 years. I currently work daily with a 2015 Euro VI (10,7 litre, 428 HP) with 8 speed auto gear, 504k km and it's my best working tool since I took the driving license almost 21 yeas ago. Love it.
Being a coach driver is probably by far the most underrated job. Few people actually know the skill it must take to drive a huge bus like this

I'm 80yo and drove buses for 20 years of my life. With this coach as with many i drove, i always found a problem with the high windscreen, because of the glare even from the clouds in the sky. I would pull the visor down to eliminate that, but i found the passengers seated behind and above me often complained that they could not see the road. The other problem i experienced was at night when passengers seated near the front of the coach, sometimes would have their reading lights on, which would reflect on the inside of the windscreen, affecting my view of the highway. This was the most accurate observations of a coach driver routine! I have no doubt that you are/was a bus driver!
our bus, have 2 step frong glass, i guess won't so serious problem like you said, the above glass have dark as sunglasses, and down glass is clear. also the bus structure can be more hard
But having a high seated position creates a huge blind spot to everything around the vehicle, especially upfront. This is a major problem compared to what you stated. Anyways, Good day!

Went with a coach load of fifty-two people to Brighton today. Travelling time...Three hours there and back in all. Didn’t know what model of vehicle to expect. Never thought about it. WOW! It turned out to be a huge Mercedes Benz. Massive front window. Driver seemed so low down which enabled me to watch his confident skilled driving on the busy motorway from my seat which was just behind him. Found it fascinating.
Very quiet engine matched by a smooth drive. Tinted windows, orange tied back curtains, really comfortable leather seats. Fully air conditioned. Georgeous coach.
He looks so calm and relaxed like he is driving s600 benz to his girlfrend to take her for a walk...
it's not that big of deal to handle that carbage-truck he's driving.

Beginner driver here. I just wanted to ask, at 1:12, he was at an intersection and he did not put his gear to neutral, is it ok/safe to not put the gear to neutral when at an intersection?

Of course @@BusRoutine, I'm such a huge fan of very big buses. Sadly I reside all the way in the Pacific, and we don't have them here. Though we have toyota coster buses here, but none of the one's that exists in the USA and Europe.
@@BusRoutine Sometimes I just wished I live in the USA or Europe, so I can finally get a chance to see one of them with my own eyes or hop on one. I always had a thing for semi trucks and buses. It'd be a dream to drive one of those buses. 🚌

Haha, I bet that you could do that for free maximum for one month. It's quite hard to work with so many people. Everyone has their own problems. Some of them are hot, some of them are cold, and you have to be nice for everyone. :)
