    So what did he do to overcome his problems with shrimp dying?

    • @ShrimpVault
      @ShrimpVault  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Quite a few of you have been asking this question! Just to clear the air and to avoid any misunderstanding, it was my intention to give you guys an insight into all the blood, sweat and tears it takes to become a world class shrimp breeder like Vin. To answer your question, it took many years of trial and error on his part as he began breeding shrimp when there was zero information on the internet to rely on. He was one of the pioneers of shrimp breeding, and a true master of his craft.

    Would have been nice to share some shrimp care knowledge.

    • @ShrimpVault
      @ShrimpVault  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vin did mention how he cares for his shrimps, however I did not want the video to be too long. Vin uses 2 eheim canister filters linked together for filtration. For soil, ADA soil at least 4cm deep. He believes that this will provide a long-term stable environment for the shrimps as you will not need to reset the tank for a long time. Also, he uses a lot of plants. Good for shrimp to hide when they are molting, and also to absorb some nitrates from the water. He keeps his shrimps below 26 degree celcius, and uses RO water for all his tanks. He remineralises the water in the tank.

      @@ShrimpVault Thanks for the info. Did he tell what the reason was why his shrimp died and how he prevents it nowadays? What are his water parameters, besides mineral salt does he use any other products (bacteria, minerals), what food does he give?

    • @ShrimpVault
      @ShrimpVault  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bigbotno1 The part when he was talking about his shrimp dying, it was when he first started many years ago. For water parameters he keeps most of his shrimp at 100 TDS, I do not know the exact GH KH PH etc. He uses his own line of products that can be found on his website which I have linked in the video description! You can talk to Vin via Facebook, I'm sure he will be happy to answer all your questions, because I might be wrong. I will make sure to include these information in my future interviews and videos, thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate it.

      @@ShrimpVault I'll look into his products and thanks for the Facebook tip and your time. I think most of us today are still strugeling keeping shrimp maybe cause there is so much info and it's hard to select what works and what doesn't? Care info and water parameters are therefor very welcome when succesful. This way we keep the hobby alive, as more people will keep (having) them.

    Awesome video. I was just waiting for the end where he explains how he overcome his breeding challenges. But the ended abruptly without closer. Without the secret or why his shrimp kept dying. But I suppose he didn’t have the information we have now. As you described on previous comments.

      @@ShrimpVault how to breed taiwan Bee?

    • @ShrimpVault
      @ShrimpVault  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Андрей Быков well my friend there is no secret. Firstly, good water. Use only RODI water and remineralise with a GH conditioner. Secondly, good soil. Use a good reliable buffering soil such as ADA soil to Ensure that the PH of water will be kept stable. Thirdly, temperature. Always maintain your temperature below 26 deg celcius, and make sure the temperature does not go up and down as temperature fluctuations will affect PH of water and also shrimp health. Finally, filtration and aeration.

      @@pokosal7015 hi Po, yes it will affect the shrimp. It’s best to reduce temperature range to within 1 degree. E.g. 23-24 deg celcius
