  • The greatest chefs of Eorzea are often known across more than the continent of Aldenard. Do you stand amongst this crowd or simply enjoy sampling the various meals these people create? Either way, there will be a pleasant smell in the air that's bound to make people hungry!

    What most consider a Culinarian: "Chef who makes great food!"

    Chefs are like scholars of cuisine. They learn and improve their craft for the betterment of not just them but others in a practical sense. Food isn’t just to survive, it’s a way to live. And you don’t want to be living off simple fare.

    One of my first ff14 blogs I followed was a Tumblr page called something like "eorzian recipes" I can't quite remember the name exactly, but it was something like that. And I loved that page when it was active, because it took culinarian recipes and would translate them into real world recipes that you could cook at home. It was so interesting to see how to create some of the dishes that were in game, and I even tried a few. Ishgardian milk tea was my favorite, and it taught me the idea of mixing cottage cheese with my eggs to make supremely Fluffy scrambled eggs and even how to season them.
    Unfortunately I believe the person behind it quit posting a long time ago, but I just love the idea of the story and recipes of crafting in 14 being fleshed out enough that they can be recreated in the real world and have a unique style to them while being delicious as well.

    • @SynodicScribe
      @SynodicScribe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Cause that's how I've pronounced it in my head long before ARR's voice acting. Simple as that. You can probably blame all the reading I've done prior to the MMO as well.

      i just remember garuda saying "ill feast upon your eeether"

    • @AnachronisticGamer
      @AnachronisticGamer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SynodicScribe I used to mispronounce words I'd only read, too. But, once I learned the correct way to pronounce them I changed how I said it so I didn't sound like a fool. I used to pronounce hearth as "hurrth" until I found it it was pronounced "harth" and corrected how I said it. Another handy tip is that the voewl pair "ae" at the start of a word is pronounced as "ee" in nearly 100% of cases. It's actually meant to be æ, which is a latin vowel that is difficult for most people to figure out how to type on a keyboard so they just don't.
