9 months later it’s a hot summer. Google ryobi fan lawn mower bracket. You are Welcome in advance! I have an EGO so I’ll have to 3D print my own bracket but it’s a great idea. It was meant for the fan not mister but might have one for both
I work for HD and bought this fan after we had it on display on a hot day. The one problem I have is it pushes out way too much much water! If you sit about 5 ft from the fan you’ll be drenched with water after a few mins.
Really thorough video. So with a cheap 4.0 amp hour battery you should get 4 or so hours and a complete 5 gallon bucket of water. I grabbed a couple of these kits for like 80% off so couldn't say no lol

was that refrigerated water you used? I cut half of a milk gallon or water jug, put water in and freeze them and use those big ice blocks in mine, not just fridge water.
Can pretty much guarantee if it's Phoenix AZ, it's 105 in the shade and feels like at least 116 in the sun. We get that type of weather in July and August in FL with "feels like" temps above 110 and it sucks.
Do other size batteries fit? I have the slightly bigger ones and dont want to buy another kit just for a battery to fit into the compartment. Seems a bit silly.
Can it charge and run at the same time? I have another battery powered regular fan that can and one that cant, I didn't watch all of the pre performance part of the video so if it was covered in that part I apologize for asking
Fair point Here in AZ the sun is really intense. I envision this being setup near a rest area or tool box You’re likely not working in one area if you’re out in the sun
It might be interesting to test if you added half a bucket of ice.
Just bought a Ryobi lawnmower and weed whacker so I was looking into buying this
Thanks for the info
Nice if you have extra batteries already this is a good way to go!

so why not move it back

how would it cool if you added a frozen gallon milk jug of water in the bucket to make water cooler?

Ice water in the bucket, use my blower battery for 5+ hours of cooling 😎
Georgia weather can be humid but this fan is awesome.
Can it be wall mounted or hung?
was that refrigerated water you used?

No just plan tap water
That’s a good idea with freezing the milk jugs
was it 105 in the shade or in the sun? did you measure the temp of the porch in the shade away from the fan to see how much temp really dropped?

as long as it's part of the RYOBI One series it should fit, the cover for the battery has plenty of room for the higher capacity options.
@gearsNtools this was the answer I was looking for
i can fit the 5ah battery no problems
Was that a 1.5aHr battery? I didn't see any mention, which is very important
Yes, it’s the 1.5aH battery that came included with the fan.
A higher capacity battery will give you better run times 👍
Can it charge and run at the same time? I have another battery powered regular fan that can and one that cant, I didn't watch all of the pre performance part of the video so if it was covered in that part I apologize for asking
Do you know if a thicker 6.5amp battery fit in the case?
Test it will, plenty of room under the battery cover!
Maybe do the same test in the sunlight. Every job is in the sunlight no one gets to work in the shade LOL

@@gearsNtools touche lol
Skip to the 5 minute mark to (finally) see this thing in action.
I’m buying the two pack tomorrow. I bought the fan on accident thinking there was only one fan model didn’t realize there was like 4
