I bought two lures and tried one off the beach up here in Mass. I couldn't here the damned thing so I threw it back in the bucket. When I got it home and put it in a glass of water and then turned it on I could here it. Too bad because I complained to Livingston before I tried the glass test. Too much noise from the waves I guess and that's too bad because. I took the second one out fishing on my boat today. I used a mackerel rig to load up on perfect size tinker mackerel. Nothing works better than live macks for Striped Bass. While live lining my bait I decided to cast around my second Livingston lure. To cut to the chase it was live bait one fish and Livingston lure FIVE! I BELIEVE!

It seems like this company talks down every other lure maker. They claim other innovators don't really innovate. The founder / owner didn't even use his own name for the company. And the reason I'm looking up Livingston Lures is because my package says it lights up, but it doesn't. It's a Dive Master 14. I filled a 3 gallon bucket, dunked it under and shook it vigorously. Nothing. I turned off every light. 1. No LEDs. 2. It also has an obnoxious ball rattle like every other crankbait on the market that is so loud that it drowns out the electric buzzer, so that's pointless. 3. It floats like a bobber. It's not even close to suspending, so the second you stop cranking it won't stay down long enough for fish to find the buzzer, it will float to the top faster than they can chase it. That's 3 strikes. Seeing this snobby video saying they are the only real innovators sealed it. I won't support a company like this. I'm sure a competitor will soon surpass this company. This gimmicky lure is going back.
I can understand the frustration and disappointment of product failing to meet expectations, but I don't think that a valid argument to justify the perception of a superiority complex. I do agree that the "innovative" claim is a bit much. It's still a hard bait, that's not that much different other than the others.

I am telling my father in law about these tomorrow!
The best!
I have 2 which I cannot hear by holding them up to my ear while touching the 2 points. It should be loud enough for someone to hear, correct?
Should I use the tournament ones for catfish?
does it run out of battery

When are you going to put this sound tech in a natural looking swimbait and go for the full package? forgo the rattle and go for realism. :)
Just me but I think it's cheating..
Then a rattle is cheating, the whole point of fishing with lures is to trick the fish. Any lure that's not live bait would be cheating then lol.
