@@ingebolt In fact induction coil is durable if with good cooling effect. The coil itself is much durable if the heated workpiece don't touch coil directly. In case of the contacting of heated workpiece, you can insert a glass tube or silicon carbide tube. Glass tube is cheap, but you need change frequently because it is easily broken. Silicon carbide tube is much more durable, but price is higher. You can also use refractory cements to cover the coil also.

just use quartz glass tube which can tolerate high temperature. But still need replace new frequently because always broken after a period of use

What is the harsh temperature?
highest temperature can be 2000C
